An Elegant Red Rose Garden Wedding at Castle Green

Erin Parker and Amiyr Jackson first matched on the dating app, The League, in the fall of 2021. Their chemistry was put to the test at the outset of their first date. Erin intended for them to enjoy Filipino rice bowls and get to know one another—but her best laid plans went astray as the restaurant was closed for the evening. Instead they ended up at a downtown LA bar called La Cita, where they began to fall for each other over cheap tequila and Corona. Erin’s eyes sparkled as she listened to Amiyr talk about real estate debt, while Amiyr lovingly gazed as Erin explained the underpinnings of business insurance. Originating first mortgages and underwriting middle market business risk—could they be any more interesting! The date was going so well they decided to continue the evening at another downtown LA bar, Las Perlas, where they enjoyed tacos and mezcal cocktails. From then on they would continue to feast and share new adventures. In early 2022, Erin and Amiyr kicked off an exciting period, where they would test Amiyr’s ability to sit in a plane seat for an extended period of time. From weekend trips with friends to flying abroad in Colombia and Italy, Amiyr and Erin took pictures with angry llamas and learned patience as they crossed the Canadian border. They took subway rides in Harlem and did karaoke in Montana, and with each flight they had more jokes and were more deeply in love. While Amiyr brings energy to any situation, no one was more spirited about this budding romance than their dog Rex. His life was immediately upgraded from watching for the mailman to belly rubs and treats in his bowl. As Erin and Amiyr’s love continued to grow, Amiyr knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Erin. He deviously plotted a proposal under the guise of a business meeting and basketball game. Amiyr invited her to take a quick picture, which she was excited to do in her new high heels. As they looked into each other’s eyes on Pier 7 in San Francisco, Amiyr shocked Erin by getting down on one knee and asked her to be his forever partner. Unbeknownst to Erin, the entire business meeting setup was a lie, but she was excited to watch her basketball team as a newly engaged couple. Now, as they prepare to start their new life together, Erin and Amiyr are excited to celebrate their love with a beautiful wedding. They cannot wait to begin this next chapter of their lives filled with surprises, laughter, and fun with those who mean the most to them!
