Nancy Meyers Wedding Aesthetic That Plays With Texture in All the Right Ways

The Philbrook Museum’s gardens, with their meticulously manicured lawns, charming fountains, and stately sculptures, provided a stunning, verdant backdrop that seamlessly integrated with the sophisticated aesthetic of Nancy Meyers’ style. The gardens' classical design, reminiscent of Italian villa landscapes, complemented the shoot's use of rich textures and collectible items, creating a harmonious blend of indoor elegance and outdoor natural beauty.

The Nardos gowns that were chosen for this shoot beautifully tied into the bold floral theme, with dainty flower applique on the main wedding gown and large, bold flowers on the reception dress.

Drawing inspiration from the vibrant beauty of nature, our floral designers at Samantha’s Garden aim to create a breathtaking experience that leaves a lasting impression. We meticulously blend a rich palette of colors and textures, bringing together lush greens and vivid pinks to craft arrangements that are both dynamic and harmonious. Each piece is thoughtfully designed to evoke joy and celebration, transforming spaces into enchanting floral wonderlands. Morgan Riley Designs aimed to create a modern touch by incorporating clean, minimal materials to provide a striking contrast to the more maximalist elements elsewhere in the design. While the overall design might appear simple at first glance, she employed a variety of layered techniques to infuse it with a sense of luxury and sophistication. For instance, she used pink pearl foil layered over dusty rose paper for the main invitation card, which added a subtle yet impactful sheen and depth. The white ink printing on top created a delicate, refined look that really made the design pop. She also added embossed stripes on the sleeve, which gave the piece a tactile quality and a hint of opulence. In a playful nod to her experimental approach, I decided to create a linen booklet for the menus. This choice added a unique texture and a touch of elegance, setting it apart from typical paper menus. Overall, the project was a fun and creative exercise in blending modern simplicity with luxurious details, and she loved pushing the boundaries to achieve something truly distinctive.
