o Ex: Cameos of our dog (who sadly was unable to attend), and the inclusion of our family (sister as officiant, god parents as flower man and woman) in our wedding.
· A location that was beautiful at its essence (Villa Cora) and close to the heart of Florence
· Give people an excuse to travel and see and explore Italy alongside us
· Give people a good time!
· We wanted the day to be beautiful, timeless, and playful!
Proposal Story
From the bride:
On February 25th, 2023, Thatcher and I had plans to have dinner with his parents for his birthday. We arrived early at the restaurant and decided to grab a drink at the bar. Thatcher suggested that we check out their outdoor space while we wait for his parents to arrive. Once outside in this beautiful courtyard, I noticed a proposal setup and told Thatcher we needed to get out of there immediately before someone proposed. Thatcher had a huge grin on his face as he ushered me towards the “Will you marry me sign.” I initially objected, telling him this was a really bad joke and not at all funny. But as he continued to usher me forward, I picked up on his nerves for the first time and realized that this was real, and it was happening to me. He then got down on one knee, proposed, and I said yes! We celebrated with champagne and a photographer seemingly appeared to take pictures of us. The moment was made complete when our best friends appeared with our dog Birdie who we then got to be in the pictures. We then headed to dinner across the street where my entire family and Thatcher’s were waiting for us to celebrate! Best night ever and a true surprise (which is hard to pull off with me).

The Details
Food & Drink
After the ceremony in the Sfingi Garden, the reception continued in an absolutely jaw-dropping space within Villa Cora known as the Sala degli Specchi.
The menu selected by the newlywed to be offered to their guests was composed by 3 courses:
The entrée was a Salad with a citronette dressing and cucumber and shredded carrots.
The Pasta course was the Cacio e pepe with white fish on top.
As Main course, the interal catering served a Filet with red wine sauce and mashed potatoes and green beans
Florals & Decor
The bride walked down the aisle with a symmetrical and structured style bouquet realized by Flowers Living. Flowers colors were the same of the palette and the florist selected a mix of garden roses, spray roses, delphinium, dahlias, lisianthus, sweet peas, oxypetalum, peonies and scabiosa.
For the bridesmaids, the bride decided for a smaller bouquet with the same style and made with only white and cream flowers.
The boutonnieres were made with a flower in palette with the bridal bouquet and some leaves for a touch of green.
For the ceremony, celebrated in the Sfingi Garden, in addition to the squared wooden arch fully decorated with the same flowers of the bride's bouquet and greenery, Flowers Living arranged grounded florals along the two sides of the aisle. Classic stone statue and two lemon trees at the beginning of the aisle completed the look of this whimsical ceremony setup.
For the cocktail hour, the bride chose to decor the drinks served to the guests with colorful edible flowers.
For the wedding reception, set up in the stunning Sala degli Specchi, the wow factor was the sweetheart table, decorated with an organic and unstructured style runner along the middle of the table. Gold candle holder and tea lights completed the look.
The other round tables were decorated by low urns filled with loose flowers and candles.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake was a really master piece realizaed by the pastry chef Sugarcups.
Two layers were marble and filled with a gianduia cream, fresh rasberries a drizzle of white chocolate covered in a vanilla meringue buttercream and the two other cakes were vanilla, doused with a amalfi lemon syrup, lemon curd, fresh rasberries, a white chocolate drizzle and finally a vanilla swiss meringue buttercream. It was a timeless styled cake, a white cake with wavy buttercream to make it look like flower petals. On the four layers there were the sunset color flowers in a slanted pattern to make it more in theme of the wedding. An amazing fireworks show made the moment of the cutting of the cake memorable!
