[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]A whimsical Charleston garden party, with key details calling back to our Southern/Midwestern roots. [/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]After a whirlwind digital romance (sponsored by Bumble!), Eli knew he wanted to propose using his and Abby’s shared love of cinematography. Incorporating her friends, family, and treasured home videos — Eli crafted a proposal video detailing the couples love story from beginning to now. Abby was surprised with the video at Soho House Nashville in the cozy, private theater. At the conclusion of the video she was presented with a bouquet of her favorite flowers (peonies) and lead upstairs to a secluded, decorated terrace where Eli awaited to pop the question with a custom made toi et moi ring. After the “yes!” was exclaimed and photos were snapped, the couple was ushered off to a private party in the Grove, a luxury private golf community in Tennessee, where friends and family had traveled far and wide to celebrate the freshly engaged couple[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Guests were treated to the couples favorite low country BBQ — Home Team! Each cocktail napkin served was printed with one of four love letters exchanged between the bride and groom – dating back to their first date, to days before the ceremony. The pop up cocktail car served local craft beer and wine, with custom drink stirrers illustrating a cavalier pup – a nod to the couple’s dog Sunday, back at home. At the end of the night, the couple surprised their guests with a snow-cone and boozy popsicle truck. The Bride loved the shaved ice, reminiscent of her families reoccurring summers spent in Maui on old Lahaina beach eating Local Boys shaved ice. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Our florist focused on accentuating tones similar to local blooms during the Charleston summertime. We knew flowers would be a primary part in telling the story of our day, so our colors reflected as such. The groom was excited to bring in bouts of color through florals, specifically on the dance floor and in the ceremony fountain. Achieving a look that only Bridgerton could dream of, the florals instantly transported guests to a summer oasis akin to a New Haven summer. Ensuring the guests stayed cool, the ceremony space featured a straw fan for all in attendance, paper parasols, and stationary scalloped European-inspired umbrellas. Guests were surprised and delighted to be transported to a Nashville dive bar with the hanging luminescent Nashville disco balls flanked by flowers over the dance floor and checkered brown-and-white picnic table linens. The classic blue chins served as a nod to the Bride and Groom’s favorite wedding china. Linen remained a consistent theme: incorporated in the dreamy, draping welcome sign and jumbo seating chart. Every detail was specific to the couples taste: down to the custom Abby and Eli sailboat match boxes, cocktail tables of the Bride and Grooms’ family weddings, their McKenzie Childs Royal check cake stand. Even the sailboat tent flags hundred of feet in the sky had the couples’ new last name monogrammed. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The cake was a gluten free raspberry and lemon blend. Inspired by the Lambeth wedding cake the Bride’s grandmother had for her own day, the couple added their unique twist with bright red cherries and a playful heart shape. Offering a variety of treats, the sweet tooth couple indulged their guests with fresh fruit tarts, key lime pie shooters, and traditional French macaroons.[/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The evening before, the bride and groom spent their rehearsal dinner on a chartered catamaran spoiled with bridal party speeches galore. The day of the ceremony, the couple were wed by their lifelong friend — with special readings by a religious mentor, and prayers by the Bride’s family and the Groom’s mom. The processional walked down the aisle to a favorite orchestral piece by the Bride, from the movie Love Actually. When announced as the Stevenson-Greiss family, the couple walked down to a quartet serenade accompanied by a flute to UP’s “Married Life.”[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The groom opted to take the bride’s last name in addition to his own, with both couples taking on “Stevenson-Greiss” due to the Grooms’ close relationship with the Bride’s family and his desire to remain one of the two “Greiss brothers.” The couple remain proud of the unconventional decision citing their open communication and premarital counseling as their ability to make their last name one of sentimental value. They are excited to pass down the last name to future children, as the name now holds significant sentiment to both parties. Since announcing their name change, several friends have felt motivated to reconsider taking their partner’s last name or reexamining their own personal preference. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Rooted in Eli’s past, the sailboat guest boat served as a memory of the groom’s time spent living on a houseboat. The couple can recall several fond memories from their love story taking place on various boats: from their first charter in Charleston to summers spent on the boat at the Stevenson family lake house.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]When the bride’s grandmother was unable to attend the wedding due to her health, the bride’s mom stepped up to the plate to become the “Flower Mom.” Before she graced the aisle, it allowed mom, dad, and daughter a moment to themselves before their Bride became a wife. Rest assured, the bride still featured her grandmother in the pendant on her bouquet: with a photo of her grandparents exchanging a kiss prior to his leaving to Serve.

The couple ended the night with a grand exit to a vintage Ford white bronco from Whipdash, a nod to the Bride’s 2024 Bronco at home. [/field]
