Long Island Couple Weds in a Classic Destination Wedding at Borgo Stomennano
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Gabrielle and Stephen wanted to host their dearest family and friends for a classic, but stylish, wedding in Tuscany. Sticking with neutral colors, the bride designed a wedding inspired by the venue itself and with the intention to stay true to a timeless style. Organic florals, a long serpentine table for an outdoor reception, and gorgeous stationery were just some of the details selected to showcase this design direction.

The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Gabrielle wore a lace Monique Lhuillier gown, which has become synonymous with Italy. The movement and texture in her down paired beautifully with the overall design. It featured a removable jacket, that Gabrielle removed before her cake cutting to reveal a second look. For the after party, she changed into a short strapless gown and added beaded half sleeves for a fun touch.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Gabrielle's two bridesmaids wore two different gowns from V. Chapman Studio in green.

The Details
Food & Drink
Guests were treated to a welcome prosecco before the ceremony in the gardens in front of the villa. The aperitivo hour featured a live mozzarella maker, aperol spritzes, an oyster bar, and a selection of meats and cheeses. The dinner featured a 4 course meal with multiple pastas, and the traditional millefoglie for the wedding cake. Guests marveled as they watched the chefs make the cake and then celebrate with the couple.
Florals & Decor
Winsome Floral curated a full arch for the ceremony in terracotta, peach, and white tones to compliment the villa and property of Borgo Stomennano. One long serpentine table served as the reception setup for all 100 guests in the back garden. Gold chargers, pale green linens, custom menus, and floral centerpieces lined the table. Chandeliers hung from the trees to create a romantic ambience.
Wedding Cake
The couple chose to have the traditional Italian cake millefoglie, which had multiple layers of pastry dough, berries, and mascarpone cream.
