“Toile de Jouy” Linen and French Country Style in the Tropics

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

The bride was clear in her vision, she wanted a wedding completely in open air yet crafted to create an intimate experience for the bride, groom, and guests. She requested a romantic, French "Provence Style" vibe, uniquely situated in the laid back atmosphere of the Florida Keys. The biggest challenge for design was recreating a timeless elegant atmosphere on a tropical island. Intentional choices such as having the ceremony in a smaller area where the grass met the sand, and hosting a seated dinner with two long tables side by side, was how we created intimacy in such a large, spacious venue. The execution was perfect as one event flowed to the other from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, to the reception, and the after-party (a silent disco by the pool!)

Proposal Story
The bride and groom's love story started in the groom’s hometown of San Diego, California. When they met, though they were drawn to each other, the two could have never predicted they'd be engaged within the year. After a few dinners, the groom insisted on a "two week trial" of serious dating-- and the pair quickly fell in love. About six months from their first date, JJ crafted a well concealed, intimate proposal with just the two of them at their apartment in Dallas after a special date at Turtle Creek Mansion.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
The bride’s gown was found after a long search of trying what seemed like a hundred dresses and falling in love with many! Although nothing had felt quite right until she found this one by Carolina Herrera, sold by Blue Sky Bridal in San Francisco, California. The moment she tried it on she knew it was perfect and Mom agreed. It had everything: the creamy ivory, the dreamy satin, the exposed neckline, and the beaded & threaded flower embroider throughout.
Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids wore dresses in green, blue, and pink, each a different style. Ines Naftali Designs created unique bouquets for each girl to match the color of their dress. The ensemble came together organically, inspired by the youthful & fashionable girl group and with help from @style.me.bridal
The Details
Food & Drink
The dinner menu was carefully designed by Le Basque Catering for the couple, an elegant multi-course dinner was served Al-fresco and Guests indulged in dishes like Grilled Pear Salad with Amarena Cherries and Mache Cabrales, Fillet Mignon with Demiglace, Succotash of Cauliflower Caviar and Spring Onion, Parnish Cream, Baby Thumbalina Carrots and Tricolor Asparagus Tips. Crafted cocktails and mixology were present throughout the night, a midnight dinner by the bite was served prior to inviting guests to the Poolside After Party.
Florals & Decor
The timeless romantic decor was beautifully executed by Ines Naftali Studio. Chandeliers suspended above the 2 royal tables, lush pastel florals over "Toile de Jouy" linens and delicate lace napkins adorned the setting. Details like personalized macarons enclosed in a glass mini cake stand served as place cards for each guest.
Wedding Cake
Instead of one traditional wedding cake, the bride and groom chose to have a live cake bar with an assortment of different flavor cakes and the traditional French "Croquembouche" tower, served by cake specialists dressed in French Maid outfits.
Special Detail #1
The bride's uncle Horacio, a talented opera singer from Argentina, gifted the bride and groom and guests with a performance of three awe inspiring songs including Botticelli's infamous "Con Te Partiró". A beautiful ode to the bride's Argentinian culture and family.
