The wedding colors for Hannah & William’s wedding day were every color you can think of. Picture this- bright blues, ecstatic yellows, pinks in every form. From the floral design to the linens, from the bridesmaids dresses to the cake stand, the guests eyes were met with joyful colors at every turn.

Hannah’s vision for her big day was simply this, “a colorful, stylish, spring garden party brought to life.” She wanted an editorial feel to be reflected in all aspects of design.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Hannah wore a Lela Rose gown, with detailed floral applique on the back. The piece that tied it all together, though, was the necklace that she wore – a family heirloom worn by each woman in the Simpson family on their wedding day since 1826. It comes from a set, with matching earrings, as well as a gorgeous, gold bracelet. Each Simpson woman chooses to style the pieces how she likes for her own day, and Hannah chose to keep it subtle with just the diamond necklace. [/field]

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaids were able to choose each of their own gowns but under one condition: the more color, the merrier. It is safe to say that Hannah’s girls understood the assignment. Each of their dresses were perfectly accented by a bouquet of a contrasting color, each one differing from the other. There were midi’s from Alémais, organza gowns from Staud, and floral-filled Rhode dresses. Each one perfectly reflecting the personality of the beauty wearing it. [/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]William devised a plan to have both of their families in town by telling Hannah that his parents were coming for the annual Ravenel Bridge Run. After the run, the couple, along with his parents, bopped around downtown Charleston until mid-day. That’s when they were to go to Williams uncle’s home on Shem Creek for “happy hour.” It was there that William took Hannah down to the private dock and popped the question. It just so happened to be April 1st, so William had to reassure Hannah that it, “was NOT an April fools prank!” They ended the evening by celebrating with all of their friends and families at Hannah’s parents home in Charleston.[/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]DeBordieu Club handled all of the catering, and boy, did they succeed. The food was delicious, and reflected the taste buds of the bride and groom. Not only did they offer the classic shrimp and grits and carving station, but they also threw in individual, Chinese takeout boxes filled with the bride & grooms favorite noodle dish. They ended the evening by passing out Jeni’s ice cream on the dance floor. The perfect cool-down after dancing the night away.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Willow Event Design took Hannah’s “Garden Party” vision and brought it to life with pink peonies, blushing buttercups, and gerbera daisies dancing underneath the sailcloth tent. There were disco balls illuminating the dance floor, intertwined with dangling greenery that seemed to sway with the music. Eyes were met with organic greens of the table cloths, reflecting the hues of the marsh surrounding the tent. Color was everywhere! Bringing joy to the heart of each guest that entered the tent. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Hannah & William’s cake was adorned with peonies and daisies, and rested upon a blush pink, glass cake stand. Coordinating effortlessly with the hues of the decor, the cake was a fabulous accessory to the vision of the day. [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The lovebirds incorporated many Jewish traditions in their ceremony, as well as “the horah” at the reception. The groom is an avid golf cart lover, and exchanged his formal cuff links for those shaped like golf carts for the party portion of the evening. You can feel from the photos just how joyful the pair was to be surrounded by the people they adore most, while finally tying the knot. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Hannah finished dancing the night away in her Carolina Herrera mini dress, purchased from the groom’s family luxury boutique, Coplon’s, in Columbia, SC. Coplons is a high-fashion clothing boutique carrying fabulous brands from Oscar De La Renta, Stella McCartney, Zimmermann and more. [/field]
