Midsummer Day Dream Wedding at Equinox Resort in Vermont
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
The vision for the wedding was a midsummer day dream. As lovers of the Vermont summer, we wanted only to underscore what was already a breathtaking backdrop of lush Mt. Equinox and quaint Manchester by adding pops of color, playful textures, and personalized touches. Guests dressed for a garden party.

Wedding Gown
The wedding gown was “Anne” by Flora, which I found at Ceremony in Newton, MA. The cloud like, romantic dress was a big inspiration for the dreamy, airy vision for my wedding day. The skirt was cloud like tulle that moved beautifully, complimented by soft lace.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Bridesmaids picked their own dresses from a variety of designers, using “garden party” as their inspiration.

The Details
Food & Drink
Food and drinks were catered by the Equinox. A private tasting in the spring helped us choose our meals, and our absolute favorite were the hors d’oeuvres like local whipped goat cheese with smoked strawberry jam, balsamic caviar and mint on toasted baguette. Our signature drinks were the bride’s French 75, the groom’s Kentucky Mule, and “Maple’s mocktail” a refreshing mix of sparkling water, lemon, simple syrup, with a sprig of mint over plenty of crushed ice.
Florals & Decor
Anna's Blooms created soft and whimsical textures with lush greenery and pops of in season blooms. Centerpieces were a mix of floral bouquets in ceramic footed vases, and wooden lodge lanterns nested in greenery. The head table was a lively mix of colorful tapered candles in glass hurricanes, sprigs of greenery, and bud vases. Woven baskets clustered over the dance floor created a focal point within the tent.
Wedding Cake
For our mid-July wedding, we opted for a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart! Featured flavors were Phish Food, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Berry Sorbet.
Special Detail #1
Our sweet golden retriever Maple was a big part of the day in many ways. The groom’s sister walked her down the aisle in her “Marguerite” Dog Bandana from the Foggy Dog. Mary from Printerette dress captured Maple perfectly in our custom “Save the Date” and as part of the details card. And it wouldn’t be a Vermont wedding without sending everyone home with real Vermont maple syrup, a.k.a. our “Maple’s syrup” favors.
