A Vibrant Fall Wedding at the Bride’s Family Ranch

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
When planning their wedding, Becca and Grant wanted to merge her Southern flair with his Midwestern vibes. But more than anything, they were inspired by the shared love of music that sealed their connection in the first place. Held on Becca’s family ranch, the couple married in an outdoor ceremony shrouded in autumnal blooms.
Proposal Story
It was love at first swipe when Becca and Grant connected on an online dating app. When Grant swung by Becca’s apartment to pick her up for her first date, he wasn’t even phased that she made him wait an hour and a half. As they were wandering around Santa Monica after dinner, they heard some live music from a restaurant, went inside, and ended up spending hours talking about their shared love of music. Unfortunately, their careers led them in separate directions, forcing the pair apart for eight years. But what’s meant to be will be! The stars aligned to bring them back together; the rest is history.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Becca's lace ballgown included a corset bodice and delicate pearl beading. She paired the look with a dramatic chapel-length veil.
The Details
Food & Drink
After an apple and pecan salad, guides dined on grilled beef tenderloin, rosemary-roasted turkey, fire-roasted shrimp and grits, and pecan-crusted chicken.
Florals & Decor
Leading into the reception space, a vinyl record seating chart was displayed on a bookshelf featuring a diverse selection of records from their personal collection. The clear reception tent was dressed to the nines with crystal chandeliers and dusty blue details that brought a soft fairytale vibe to the deep red hues of the floral centerpieces.
Wedding Cake
The show-stopping, five-tier wedding cake was adorned with a garden of white buttercream flowers and the couple's monogram. Inside, the cake was filled with blackberries and cream cheese. Guests also had their choice of carrot cake or chocolate truffle cake with Oreo filling.
Special Detail #1
A bird motif was woven throughout the day’s details as a nod to Becca’s grandmother, who recently passed. The bar was wrapped with custom artwork to match the stage backdrop in the same shade of robin egg blue and meaningful bird illustration.
Special Detail #2
Throughout the evening, a live artist painted a portrait of the newlyweds while guests danced and spilled out into the yard to cozy up by the bonfire. When the reception ended, Becca and Grant exited the tent to the cheers of their loved ones and a grand fireworks show.
Special Detail #3
But the night wasn’t over yet! The newlyweds and their guests headed to the barn for a disco-inspired after-party, complete with neon lighting, disco balls, bedazzled cowboy hats, light-up horseshoes, and late-night hot dogs with all the fixings.
