A Chic Summer Wedding at Gardener Ranch in Carmel Valley, CA

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Atlas Design Studio did a magnificent job designing this wedding from beginning to end. Their dedication was evident in every detail, from working closely with all the vendors to meticulously setting everything up on the day of the wedding. The bride envisioned a French blue garden theme, and Atlas Design Studio brought this vision to life with perfection. They incorporated elegant French blue accents throughout the decor, including the table settings, floral arrangements, and drapery. The garden-inspired design was enhanced with lush greenery, delicate blooms, and charming vintage elements, creating a romantic and timeless atmosphere. Every aspect of the wedding reflected the bride's dream, showcasing the studio's exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
The bride wore a stunning, fitted gown designed by Monique Lhuillier , purchased at Bridal Galleria in San Francisco. The gown's pattern featured a subtle floral designs, symbolizing the wedding venue's natural surroundings of trees and perfectly manicured gardens.
Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids wore different designs by Show Me Your Mumu to complement their figures, but all in the same soft light blue tones to match the summer sky. The maid of honor wore a white dress with a blue floral pattern to stand out among the other ladies. It beautifully wrapped around her pregnant belly, adding to the charm of the occasion.
The Details
Food & Drink
As big foodies, the couple prioritized wowing their guests with exceptional food and drinks. They curated a farm-to-table menu featuring seasonal ingredients for both cocktail hour and dinner. Additionally, they each crafted a signature drink: a spicy margarita for the bride and a timeless Manhattan for the groom.
Florals & Decor
The florals featured vibrant tones of pink and orange, complemented by touches of lush greenery. These arrangements exuded timeless elegance with a hint of playfulness. The addition of summer fruits, such as peaches, oranges, and berries, added unique textures and bursts of color, creating a visually stunning and aromatic display. The combination of bold floral hues and fresh fruits perfectly encapsulated the essence of a vibrant summer celebration.
Wedding Cake
The bride, originating from Los Gatos, wanted to feature her favorite local bakery by having them create a delicious array of treats for her and her guests. Understanding that not everyone enjoys cake, she included a variety of small bites to cater to different tastes, ensuring everyone had something to enjoy.
Special Detail #1
The bride's brother officiated the wedding and made a last-minute script change, incorporating an abalone shell that was a table detail from their welcome event dinner into his speech. He held up the shell, explaining to their guests how its strength mirrored their relationship and symbolized guidance and calm emotions. The abalone shell, a sacred symbol of the sea, was particularly fitting for their wedding in the Carmel area, surrounded by the ocean's influence.
Special Detail #2
This couple was the first to host a late-night event at Gardener Ranch. Normally, guests are asked to leave by a certain hour, but the venue granted them permission to extend the festivities with a silent disco. This unique addition was incredibly enjoyable for the guests and proved to be a great success!
