[field title=”The Inspiration”]The inspiration for this design was to honor the skyline and place, while adding a burst of joyous color. With clear open skies, stark whitewashed buildings, and those deeply saturated blue domes, the deep pink hues of this palette really popped. Oia Mansion is perched at the very height of Oia (it’s the tallest spot) so the views are uninterrupted and absolutely stunning. We kept the floral low and chairs clear, so they wouldn’t obstruct the view, mixed in bright citrus (nothing says “Greece!” like lemons!) and added soft luxurious touches to contrast the more modern elements. The cake design, modern and simple, was meant to evoke the rough edges of the skyline, while domed elements worked their way into the stationery suite.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Vibrant sunset shades of pinks, orange, and yellow, with rose gold accents.[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]Oia Mansion is situated at the highest points in Oia, perched above the famous Oia Castle. This historic and neoclassical Sea-Captain’s mansion has been in the same family for generations and offers unobstructed Caldera views. The reception was set on the rooftop terrace, overlooking the water. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Three beautiful ensembles made their appearances throughout the day! For the ceremony, the first, most formal look was a Mikado Basque-Waist gown by La Premiere, which added a luxurious touch. The heavier fabric was perfect for staying just-so during the windier afternoon. The slightly creamier, ivory tone created a gorgeous contrast against the bright white of the iconic Santorini backdrop. The Eden Luxe Bridal cathedral length veil incorporated an organic, climbing rose motif, which picked up elements of the pink roses in the ceremony decor.
The second look was pleated chiffon gown by Yumi Katsura, which was perfect for a portrait session in the winding narrow streets. The lighter material billowed in the sea breeze, and the waistline and pleating mimicked classical Grecian designs, a nod to the beautiful setting.
Finally, for some sparkle, the final look was a custom-label beaded mini dress from Designer Loft NYC, which picked up on the shine of the mirrored table. It was paired with a short party veil with a matching beaded edge.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Blush Floral Design did a beautiful job of bringing the bright, vivid, and lush design to life. We chose a design that would allow maximum flexability – tall arches for the ceremony that could be relocated to frame the couple during the reception (and even to relocate to a new ceremony area, given the gusts of wind in the afternoon!) and lush aisle meadows, which added a quiet luxury to the ceremony space, and reappeared at the reception. We wanted the lush florals to feel like they were growing up organically from the space, and tucking these aisle meadows under the edges of the clear tables did just that, and also framed the beautiful cake. Pops of yellow picked up the famous Santorini sunshine, and bright citrus fruits added a fragrant touch. The deeply saturated colors were chosen to contrast against the bright blues of the sky, water, and domes, and to reflect the colors of the sunset over the Caldera.[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]I loved the mix of textures – silky napkins, pinkish-purple cut crystal glasses, blushing rose-gold elements and the modern, sleek mirrored surface of the table created visual interest while keeping the color palette of the tabletop simple.[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]A mirrored tabletop is an incredible way to double your centerpiece florals and double your candlelight. The surface reflects the sky throughout the evening, so the color shifts and changes on the table. We opted for clear chargers to help showcase as much of the surface as possible, and loved how the candlelight danced across the table throughout the evening! [/field]
