A Fine Art Wedding in a Dutch Castle at Buitenplaats Sparrendaal

Jana and Niek envisioned a romantic and informal atmosphere for their wedding, with a focus on the 'fine art wedding' esthetic. Soft pastel colors, elegant floral and event design, a live jazz band during their cake cutting and drinks: all together a sophisticated, elegant celebration of their love. Their choice of a "Garden Chic with Hats" dress code added a touch of charm to the event, while the soft color palette and elegant styling created a timeless ambiance. The venue, Buitenplaats Sparrendaal, provided the perfect backdrop for their dreamy celebration. Jana designed and styled the event by herself, and did an amazing job at it. The fine art, elegant esthetic was woven thoughout the ceremony, the dinner and the reception.

Niek proposed to Jana in a cozy Bed & Breakfast in Normandy, France, surrounded by warmth and French music. Despite the casual setting, Jana remembers coming out of the bathroom with her wet hair in a towel and her pink pyjamas on, the moment was filled with romance as Niek got down on one knee, champagne in hand, and presented Jana with a stunning ring.

Jana found her dream dress at Covers Couture in Utrecht, accompanied by her parents and sister. The gown exuded elegance with delicate lace and intricate details, complemented by accessories borrowed from her mother, adding a personal touch to her bridal ensemble.

The bridesmaids donned a mix of various shades of pink, ensuring they felt comfortable and beautiful while complementing the wedding's color palette. A beautiful mix and mathch style made possible since the girls all got to choose their own dress they felt comfortable in, in the chosen color palette by the couple.

Niek looked dashing in his blue suit purchased in Germany, with cufflinks gifted by his parents.

Good food and music were paramount for Jana and Niek. They curated a delectable menu for their guests and ensured the ambiance was lively with live jazz music during the reception, creating an unforgettable culinary and auditory experience.

The venue was adorned with romantic floral arrangements in soft pastel hues by Let Love Blossom, adding to the enchanting atmosphere of the day. The floral arch was not only used during the ceremony, but we repurposed it during the group shots as it was too beautiful not to be multifunctional.

The beautiful, classic wedding cake was made by Gebakkerij. Again in the same, soft pastel colors, this four tier cake was as delicious as it was beautiful. It took center stage right after the ceremony and was accompanied by champagne.

The intimate ceremony took place in the garden of Buitenplaats Sparrendaal, surrounded by loved ones. Live harp music filled the air as the couple exchanged vows and stories were told by their loved ones. During the reception, a live jazz band played tunes for the guests to enjoy during the cutting of the cake and the toast. The party started after dinner with the couples first dance at the tunes of Fly me to the moon by Frank Sinatra. Funny detail: during the first dance, Jana's shoe flew away from her foot. A funny moment they still remember as one of their personal favorite moments of the day.

The rings, custom-made by a goldsmith, held sentimental value as the diamonds were from Jana's grandmother, a precious gift from her mother..
