[field title=”The Inspiration”]
We felt inspired by the historic backdrop of the Hotel de Russie and its picturesque “Secret Garden” designed by Giuseppe Valadier in the XIX century. Our shoot blends a sense of old-world charm meets modern romance and we leaned into the charm of Rome, with its cobblestone streets, historic architecture, timeless beauty, and rich heritage.

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]For our color palette, we chose soft pastels in shades of blush, peach, lavender, and soft blue, complemented by lush greenery. These hues brought a gentle, dreamy quality to the shoot, perfectly reflecting the delicate balance between whimsy and sophistication.[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]Hotel de Russie, the legendary Roman jewel of the Rocco Forte Hotel group, is situated along the elegant Via del Babuino between two of Rome’s most famous piazzas, Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo. At the foot of the Pincio hill and mere steps from the picturesque Via Margutta, Hotel de Russie boasts an incomparably central position in the heart of the Eternal City. With its luxurious interiors and lush gardens, this grand venue provided a setting that effortlessly combines enchanting elegance with a sense of intimate romance. We adored it’s secluded corners to its expansive views of Rome.
The internal remodel of the historic building was done by Architect Tommaso Ziffer with the oversight of Olga Polizzi, Design Director for Rocco Forte Hotels. Tommaso Ziffer conceived and developed an eclectic interior design scheme inspired by various styles from the international panorama of hotellerie which plays out as a unique fusion between history and modernity, where even the most contemporary concepts blend perfectly with the classic architecture of the building.
We had the honor of shooting in their Nijinsky Suite, the hotel’s infamous presidential Suite. Dedicated to and inspired by esteemed ballet dancer and choreographer Vaslav Nijinsky, it is the Hotel de Russie’s largest suite with two bedrooms and boasts a 240m2 private terrace overlooking the hotel’s private garden, and affording breathtaking views of Villa Borghese, the Pincio Terrace, and the striking rooftops of Rome. Vibrant and refined, the presidential suite fuses distinctive contemporary furnishings with the utmost in classical luxury, combining elegance and harmony – features of the Russian dancer’s life – with a careful eye to detail and absolute comfort. It was truly remarkable

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The bride wore two breathtaking Amsale gowns, each one more enchanting than the last. The first gown featured a silk crepe fit-to-flare gown with hand-beaded silk organza flower appliqué and tulle Watteau in Blush and Ecru. The intricate lace and flowing silhouette exuded a sense of ethereal beauty. The second gown made a statement in soft blue with delicate organza layers and an oversized floral skirt, providing a glamorous yet romantic reception look. The look was finished with chic J’Adior slingback flats for dancing the night away in the jardin. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Party”]Our groom looked dashing in a dark green tux by Cerrutti, adding a touch of rich elegance and modern style to the shoot. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The tablescape was a statement of opulence and elegance. Velvet linen set the background and allowed for us to layer an array of regal Versace china and modern textured flatware and timeless glassware. The table was adorned with lush floral arrangements and pillar candles in our chosen palette. Each detail, from the delicate china patterns to the glimmering crystal, was meticulously selected to enhance the whimsical yet refined ambiance. We added a touch of regal with oval menu cards featuring charming tassels. [/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]The juxtaposition of modern stationery elements with timeless old-world china created a unique and inspiring aesthetic. We loved pairing these elements together and it was our favorite part of the design!

[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]For those looking for a romantic look, don’t be afraid to play with added layers of depth and texture. We find those details often create a more delicate, charming feel.[/field]
