Coral Charm Peonies and Something Blue at Cannon Green in Charleston

Having a wedding at Cannon Green means you want a little European touch to your wedding day, and combining that with the perfection of downtown Charleston gave the couple the Summertime wedding of their dreams! The couple wanted an intimate gathering where their closest family and friends came together to celebrate an awesome relationship in an (almost) equally as awesome location.

The bride's gown was a customized dress from Modern Trousseau that featured a gorgeous fabric and floral lace detailing.

The bridesmaids were encouraged to choose their own patterned dresses in shades of blue, which they did wonderfully!

Cannon Green's catering team is second-to-none and the food and drink featured a three-course seated meal of fresh salad, fish or beef, and perfect dessert.

Summer 2023 will always be remembered to me as "THE peony season", and that's exactly what Meagan Levy used to create lush, exquisite centerpieces. The peonies were combined with ranunculus, hydrangea, garden roses, and greens to look like a stunning real-life Summer garden.

The wedding cake was a delicious mix of layers of chocolate with layers of white cake and strawberry compote. The cake featured citrus decoration, adding to the Summertime theme.

The groom has two teenage daughters who were featured prominently throughout the wedding day! They were bridesmaids, they got special images with their almost-step-mom while she got ready, and the ladies got to walk their dad down the aisle. Incredible!

The grooms' last name (and bride's new last name) is "Shade", so the guests received sunglasses as a gift.
