Something Blue Wedding on the Beautiful Island of Maui
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Aubrey and Randall visited Maui in January of 2020 and set their wedding date for May 2021. With both being Doctors in Southern California they then needed to push back another year due to the pandemic. For this long anticipated event, they wanted a laid back, intimate celebration, with their closest friends and family. A mix of dark wood round and long tables surrounded the dance floor with lots of twinkle lights above. Blue was the main color for their wedding day and could be seen throughout the ceremony and reception.
Proposal Story
We were on a trip to Sri Lanka. On our last day, we went to Marissa beach. It was valentine's day and we spent the day relaxing on the beach and picking fruit at the local market (one of Aubrey's favorite travel activities). At sunset, we went for a walk along the beach. There was a small island of rocks along the water. We climbed down and Randall got on one knee and proposed. It started to rain and our friend Brian (groomsmen) was with us and took pictures. We had dinner on the beach and the skies cleared up so we could enjoy the stars together.
