[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]
Chloe and Josh came to us with a specific vision for a colorful, spring wedding located high in the foothills above Boulder, Colorado – where they call home. When we started the design process – two things remained steadfast – the use of bright colors and local seasonal florals. We started with the save the date design where we incorporated fun fonts and wavy lines – an element we would later carry into the invitation suite and the day-of paper details. Knapp Design Co. produced a stunning invitation suite with custom shapes, a beautiful envelope liner (that we later turned into custom napkins) and lots of fun colors. We worked with Alli J Creative to bring the overall vision to life. From massive, locally grown coral charm peonies to fruits and vegetables on the tables, spring was in the air with this stunning floral design.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Josh and Chloe met in college and 7 years later Josh finally proposed. They were planning to spend Thanksgiving 2021 with Josh’s family so the weekend prior Josh planned a ski weekend to be with Chloe’s parents. Josh had been planning to propose for some time but knew he wanted Chloe’s parents to be there for when it happened. Josh arranged for the two of them to take a walk and view holiday lights and proposed with just the two of them. They joined Chloe’s parents for dinner and Chloe was also surprised that Josh’s parents had come to town to celebrate. To top it all off Chloe’s mom did not know the proposal had just happened and was totally surprised too. They skied the next day and then continued celebrating with family during thanksgiving the following week.

[field title=”Wedding Gown”] I had a pretty laid back approach to wedding dress shopping and also knew I only wanted to go shopping with my mom. We visited 2 stores and I only tried on 10 dresses. Our first stop was Lela Rose. I quickly went around the room and I was immediately drawn to the beautiful lace on the dress I ended up wearing. It wasn’t initially what I was searching for but I loved the lace and decided to try it. At the time (maybe still true?) no other bride had worn the gown I ended up choosing which felt so special. It was the perfect dress for me because it kept that simple and classic silhouette that I had always envisioned myself wearing but the pleated chantilly lace added just the right touch of vintage flair, uniqueness, and drama that I love. I knew I wanted to wear my dress the whole night but I did opt to switch into Miron Crosby cowboy boots for a western touch. My mom also wore a Lela Rose dress that could not have been more perfect for the occasion with the citrus lace design. It totally fit the vibe of our wedding. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The bride is vegan and it was important to incorporate that into the overall wedding day. While we did have some animal proteins, Jacqueline, chef-owner of Greystone Castle curated an impeccable menu that was primarily plant-based that consisted of roasted eggplant and quinoa, sustainably sourced salmon and a full vegan dessert station with lemon white chocolate cheesecake, strawberry shortcake and tiramisu! [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Spring in Colorado is the perfect time for bright, beautiful flowers! Coral charm peonies were the centerpiece of the floral design. They were big and beautiful. Alli J Floral Design incorporated a lot of other incredible spring florals into the design and opted to incorporate fresh fruits into the tablescapes as well to give a little more vibrancy to the designs. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The bride opted for a full-vegan cake and wanted to do something unique so opted for a square cake with florals growing out of the top to represent a spring garden. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The evening of their wedding was a Strawberry Moon, so the bride and groom leaned into that by welcoming their guests with a Strawberry Aperol Spritz to enjoy before the ceremony. They also incorporated strawberries into other elements of the day as a subtle nod to the rare occasion. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]All of the little details that tied our wedding together. From the custom napkins to match our backdrop which matched all of our stationery from Knapp Design Co. I loved the extra special touches we added and Cara Jo totally nailed all of the designs. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]In lieu of a traditional guest book we had guests sign a pair of vintage 10th mountain division skis. We almost opted for no guest book and then Josh had this idea about a month before our wedding. We love how it turned out and have them displayed in our home. [/field]
