Renaissance-Style and Statement Colors at the Ringling Museum

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Emily wanted a color palette that complimented the colors of the Ringling, so she went with a soft color palette and design elements that played into the architecture of the infamous courtyard.
Proposal Story
Emily and Kevin grew up together about 10 minutes away from each other, but they didn’t end up meeting until about a decade ago through mutual friends. They remained friends for a few years until they both happened to move to Florida. Kevin asked Emily out for dinner (for probably the 100th time), and she obliged. After that, they both felt there was something there, and the rest was history. Kevin proposed on a Christmas trip to the Breakers in Newport, Rhode Island, celebrating afterward with a magical snowfall, clam chowder, and champagne.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Emily wore a modern and chic off-the-shoulder Millanova gown, with her attendants all choosing their own outfits in varying shades.
The Details
Food & Drink
The wedding day was catered by Simply Gourmet, who ensured that the dining experience was as noteworthy as the occasion itself. To enhance the dining experience, Culinary Creations by Metz offered a selection of spirits and wines, carefully chosen to pair with the menu. The coordination between food and beverage ensured that the celebration was as delicious as it was memorable.
Florals & Decor

Once they chose the Ringling Museum as their venue, the goal was to complement the design of the statement pink Renaissance-style palace, keeping to a palette of muted pinks and champagnes. Escort cards were attached to tiny brass bells as a nod to Kevin’s last name, “Bell.”

Wedding Cake
Julie Deffense created the most stunning four tier wedding cake adorned with floral appliqués that served as a focal point for the reception.
