Euro-Inspired Micro Wedding at Commodore Perry Estate in Austin

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Emily + Taylor envisioned an elevated garden party hosted at one of their favorite resort properties in Austin. They wanted the day to feel luxurious, european, and most of all - intimate.
Proposal Story
After Taylor took a "work trip" out to California where he took my parents to dinner and asked for their blessing to marry me, he totally caught me off guard the week after as we were heading out to dinner one night and got on one knee by the front door and asked me to marry him in our home. I was fully surprised and didn't even notice that he had set the mood and was playing "If Not for You" by George Harrison on repeat as I was finishing getting ready and during his proposal. It was sweet and intimate and we celebrated with a delicious dinner and champagne!

The Details
Food & Drink
Guests were greeted by pre-ceremony champagne as soon as they arrived onsite. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed elevated southern bites such as Fried Green Tomatoes, Figs with Bacon & Cream Cheese, and Hushpuppies. Dinner was no exception to the Commodore's high attention to detail and waitstaff provided tableside wine service as everyone began the meal with parker rolls and the spinach and pecan salad. For the heart of the meal, guests chose from BBQ chicken, a Roasted Beef Filet, and Roasted Cauliflower.
Florals & Decor
The vision for the design of the day was luxe garden. Emily + Taylor wanted high end details that would really wow their guests, all while keeping the day approachable and comfortable. Florals from By Maggie Peterson truly stole the show! From the grand grounded arch at the ceremony to the compote arrangements on the dining tables, they added a softness and luxurious touch to every surface they were placed on.
Wedding Cake
The couple had a simple, 2 tier cake adorned with floral. It was placed in one of the most eclectic rooms of the estate - The Garden Nook.
Special Detail #1
Everything was special about it!! We loved having the live artist for the guests, that was a fun touch that none of them had experienced before.
Special Detail #2
Also, I recently noticed in an article somewhere that Alex Cooper who recently got married walked toward her groom and seated guests instead of "down the aisle" and they were noting that as a new trend and I thought - I did that at my wedding months ago!! So that could be a fun thing to include as a special detail.
