Set in the refined scenery of Palazzo Avino, with a beautiful view of the sea and mountains in the distance, this Fine Art wedding is inspired by the delicacy of the pastel tones of Palazzo Avino, the “pink palace of Ravello”. The selection of wedding colors fell on pastel shades of Pink, Yellow, Peach and Blue, the same colors used by the local painter Vittorio for creating a watercolor illustration of the wedding venue. The painting has been the focal point of the wedding invitations by Amalfi Soirée.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Danielle and Andrew’s vision was an elegant wedding that felt authentic to their personalities and that allowed their families and friends to really enjoy the Italian Dolce Vita.
On the first day, the couple welcomed families and friends with a boat tour by gozzo, the traditional Amalfi Coast boat, along the coast. After a fun excursion admiring the Italian seascape, sunbathing and swimming, the happy group was enlivened by the beach restaurant La Pergola, on the seafront of Positano, with a lunch of fresh fish, seafood and local wine.
A quick change of dress in the afternoon and everybody was ready to celebrate again with a welcome pizza party in the picturesque village of Atrani, at the iconic restaurant “Le Arcate”, with a view of the most famous silhouette of the coast.
Surrounded by the natural beauty of the place, they tasted the real Neapolitan Pizza and the typical recipes with the IGP Amalfitan Sfusato Lemon.
Following, a wedding in Ravello, with a ceremony in the bloomy garden of Principessa di Piemonte and a rooftop reception at Palazzo Avino, with a colorful table that seemed suspended between sea and sky.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Danielle and Andrew were college sweethearts in San Diego so it was only fitting to get engaged in southern California. While on vacation in Santa Barbara, the couple went on a hike. Coming back down the mountain, they stopped to take photos and enjoy their lunch of peanut butter, nutella, & banana sandwiches. Andrew set up his camera, but little did Danielle know she was about to be proposed to. He said some words, got down on one knee, and asked the question. Danielle responded “Yes, of course!”[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]The candlelight 3-course dinner took place under the starry night, on the highest and most panoramic terrace of Palazzo Avino.
It included refined dishes accompanied by wines selected by the hotel sommelier:
– Veal Loin Carpaccio “Provolone del Monaco” Sauce, Puffed Corn and Rocket Sprouts, accompanied by Campania Fiano 2020 Pietracupa
– Risotto with Citrus, Snapper, and Wild Fennell, with Campania Fiano 2020 Pietracupa
– Beef Cheek Glazed with Creamy Potatoes and Grilled Leek, with Irpinia Campi Taurasini Lo Smeriglio 2019 Masseria Alfano[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Isabelle di Ravello Flowers took on the interesting challenge of creating an attractive design that was at the same time well integrated in the venue.
She created stunning floral compositions of roses, delphium and tulips inspired by the garden, with longer and shorter stems of roses and scabiosa, as if they had just been picked and placed in the big urns of the ceremony, or blossomed on the joile de toile tablecloth.
The effect was very engaging for the eye, with the design that did not compete with the splendid view but rather complemented it, taking up the colors of the sunset.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]For the cake, Danielle and Andrew choose an Italian Millefeuille cake with chantilly cream and wild strawberries, and a selection of typical Neapolitan sweets like Sfogliatella, Babà, Lemon Delizia.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The wedding playlist included lively and fun international Italian music, played on the violin and piano: from That’s Amore to a cheerful Tarantella.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The best idea was to rent a vintage Vespa for some extremely romantic and unposed couple photos. The Vespa has been decorated with flowers and had a custom plate with the wedding logo, that has been gifted to the couple after the wedding as a special heirloom to pass to the next generations![/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Each guest received a hand-painted tambourine calligraphed with their name as a favor. The bride and groom’s entrance to the reception has been welcomed by the sound of the lovely instrument played by the guests to the rhythm of music![/field]
