[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]When it came to the overall vibe, Searra and Tyrell wanted a very warm and inviting black-tie affair. They wanted their guests to fully enjoy the day with them and weren’t looking for a day filled with formalities. Creating a day that encouraged mixing and mingling was a priority and was big piece of the puzzle.

When it came to the design, Always Flawless Productions created a black tie aesthetic that felt very inviting and that was filled with varying neutrals tones. Starting with the ceremony, Tyrell wanted the ceremony to have a ‘wow’ factor and Parker and Posies didn’t disappoint with a 40′ long floral aisle and a lush floral arch. Moving into the reception, dinner tables were placed around a large round bar in order to encourage mixing and mingling, and large taupe velvet lounges were set around the perimeter to create an even more inviting ambiance. As guests moved inside for dancing, the color scheme shifted to richer neutrals, including black and leather lounges and moodier lighting, and set the tone for an incredible after party.

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]In order to get the day started off right, guests were greeted with ‘His’ and ‘Hers’ drinks and were able to sip on a refreshing cocktail as they waiting for the ceremony to begin. As guests made their way to over to the reception, they were welcomed with incredible tray passed hors d’oeuvres and a delicious plated meal. The food from the Fairmont Grand Del Mar did not disappoint! After dinner, guests were in for a wonderful surprise when the In-N-Out truck pulled up and served their famous burgers as a late night snack! [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]When it came to florals, Searra wanted a very organic feel and wanted a mix of whites, ivories and greenery; and that is exactly what Parker and Posies created. The ceremony space was kept to all whites and greens and was a floral wonderland with a lush 40′ aisle and a breathtaking arch.

The reception space was layered with texture and varying shades of neutrals to give it a very elevated, yet understated, aesthetic. Varying shades of velvet linen were adorned with organic floral arrangements, textured candle holders, ceramic charger plates and neutral napkins. The final piece of the puzzle were the gorgeous garden chairs set at each table, which helped pull the entire aesthetic together. Last but not least, was the gorgeous floral installation that ran down both sides of the staircase. The floral served as both a breathtaking backdrop for the couple and as a focal point around the band. It was truly the icing on the cake. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Searra and Tyrell weren’t big cake people and, instead, opted to bring in Handel’s Ice Cream for dessert. Being able to bring in ice cream from one of their favorite places felt like a much better fit and was the perfect sweet ending to the evening. [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Music was an incredibly important piece of the day and they envisioned a saxophone playing through much of the day. In order to really bring the vision to life, we not only had a saxophone player perform as part of their dinner music, but he led guests through the Fairmont Grand Del Mar from their dinner space to their dancing space. It added a special touch to the day and was the perfect transition into dancing. [/field]
