Pastels & Butterflies Enchant This English Garden Wedding in Texas
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Annie and Bobby’s springtime wedding was inspired by butterflies and lush English gardens, which culminated in a charming celebration with regal panache. Pastel tones embraced their day in happy shades of pinks, purples, and blues.
Proposal Story
Annie and Bobby met at an ugly sweater party during their freshman year in college. Annie’s sorority had thrown the party, and since she knew Bobby would quickly get asked to the next function, she called “dibs” amongst her fellow classmates. At the next party, Annie and Bobby were dates, and by spring, they were officially dating. The couple moved to Houston together after graduation. Bobby proposed on the balcony of their apartment, overlooking the skyline. He surprised Annie by inviting some of their closest family and friends for an evening to remember.

The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Annie’s custom wedding dress was an avante-garde take on a classic mikado ballgown and included incredible off-the-shoulder sleeve poufs and a uniquely draped skirt. She paired this look with a handmade white floral headband and a cathedral-length veil scattered with pearls at the trim. She later changed into a mini dress with a custom sheer overlay of colorful beaded florals and white feathers.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Annie's bridesmaids donned baby blue satin gowns with off-the-shoulder necklines.
Groomsman Attire
Bobby's tux was custom-made by Festari. The collar was monogrammed with the wedding date, and the inside of the jacket had a fun golf print.

The Details
Food & Drink
Guests spent the evening dining on grilled beef tenderloin and roasted chicken roulade with whipped garlic potatoes, asparagus, and roasted pepper.
Florals & Decor
Florals were the focal point of the reception, with a highlight on larger-than-life delphiniums, hand-picked tulips, and cloudlike plumes of hydrangeas. This also included hand-wired rose tendrils suspended from the ceiling, making an unforgettable statement above the dinner tables. Signage embraced delicate touches with butterfly cutouts and ribbon details. Tablescapes included blue and pink Ginori Oriente Italiano plates atop patterned tablecloths of florals and botanical embroidery. Doorways and stairways were flocked with greenery and soft blooms.
Wedding Cake
Making way for the most edible garden delight was the white wedding cake, which towered nearly as high as the floral arrangements.
Special Detail #1
The couple had custom-made pizza boxes for late-night bites, along with a cigar bar and an Ole Miss-themed bar on the patio.
Special Detail #2
The couple honeymooned in Turks & Caicos: "We stayed at Grace Bay Club and did nothing but lay by the beach and pool for a week straight. We stayed on the adult side of the resort and were met with nothing but 5-star service."
Special Detail #3
"The best piece of advice I could give is to secure a wedding planner in the area you are getting married in. Someone who is familiar with the vendors, the venues, etc. That way, you aren't doing all the research, and they have recommendations fitted to your style, budget, etc."
