A Modern Fall Wedding in the Mountains of Montana
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
The overall vibe was modern wedding in the mountains. The color palette inspiration was largely taken from the bright yellow aspen trees that fill the surrounding area during the fall season and utilizing it in a modern way. Although the venue can feel rather rustic we wanted to decor to both compliment the fall mountain scenery and feel vibrant and unexpected in the venue.
For the welcome party / rehearsal dinner, we really leaned into the mountain western vibes. Folks were able to ride horses up to the welcome party space and enjoy the views at a cowboy cookout.
All events took place at the ranch and many guests stayed on site for the weekend of events giving the whole weekend a camp vibe.

The Details
Food & Drink
Guest enjoyed a plated meal with Montana-inspired eats. The entree options were Bison Tenderloin, Grilled Salmon or homemade sweet potato gnocchi.
There was a full bar available but the couple focused on their signature drinks, "On-The-Ranch Water" topo chico, reposado & lime, and a "Howdy Honey" tequila, honey syrup & lemon.
Florals & Decor
Bright yellows inspired by the yellow shade of Aspen leaves in the fall. Modern, flowy, adn whimsical style to the florals. They even incorporated aspen leaves into some of the floral displays. The remainder of the decor was largely black and white with some wood accents (for example, the chargers) to tie the modern feel of the event with the more rustic venue space.
Wedding Cake
For the cake, the couple stayed with the modern and sleek theme and chose a simple white wedding cake decorated in bright yellow florals. The couple also opted for a dessert table with Russian Tea Cookies, Vanilla Cupcakes, Espresso Cream Puffs, Fruit Tarts, Pistachio Dark Choc Bark, Lemon Meringue Tarts, Grand Marnier Truffles, Strawberry Sabayon, and Assorted Macarons.
Special Detail #1
Jewelry: Mom’s heirlooms and Tyler’s family jeweler
Tyler’s watch was Cartier.
Special Detail #2
The couple had family out in Montana with property near the ranch so they wanted to share the special place that Paradise Valley had in their heart.
For the seating chart, the couple was inspired by the peaks in the surrounding Paradise Valley. Emigrant Peak was the one that can be seen from the venue and is a favorite of theirs in particular.
Special Detail #3
The couple was also really inspired by the idea of home and finding "home" in eachother. You'll find this expressed in the "home" like silhouette shape of their custom ceremony arch and the blind letterpress detailing on their invitations.
