This Elegant Fall Wedding Will Have You In Your Feels

It’s hard to believe that Alexandra and Ryan’s St. Michaels Wedding was their Plan B, as it was so flawlessly and beautifully executed, full of thoughtful touches at every turn. We began the day at Alexandra’s family home, along a willow-lined drive with the bride’s mom, sister in law and maid of honor, and 3 sweet nieces as they helped the bride into her gorgeous Mira Zwillinger gown. Alexandra and Ryan tied the knot on a beautiful fall day, in a charming chapel in St. Michaels, later followed by cocktails and dinner at the Tidewater House. With seasonal blooms in burgundy, ivory, pink and touches of classic black, the dinner was elegantly designed by Kari Rider Events and made for a gorgeous candlelit backdrop for Alexandra and Ryan’s intimate reception. The couple's closest friends and family toasted to their future over champagne and a gorgeous cake, a perfect way to end the celebration!

The wedding gown was designed by Mira Zwillinger.

Alex and Ryan hoped to create an elegant dinner party for their wedding reception, so food and drinks were top priority for their petite celebration. Greeted with cocktails and passed h'ordeuvres such as mini crabcakes and caviar outside at the Tidewater House, guests mingled in the warm October afternoon. Later they were escorted into the intimate dining room and served several courses of seasonal, locally sourced dishes inspired by the St. Michael's coastal setting.

Sophie Felts Floral Design used a color palette of burgundy, blush, red mixed with ivories and green to create a stunning ombre bridal bouquet that set the tone for bride Alex's wedding look. The fall tones were expertly crafted into a floral arch and large installations in the Tidewater House's petite dining room, making the guests feel as though they were still exploring the gardens outdoors.
