An Intimate, Flower-Filled Chateau Wedding In The South Of France
Chateau La Tour Vaucros was at the heart of their wedding design. Celebrating the beautiful outdoor setting amongst the rolling hills of Aix-en-Provence. The weekend started with a relaxed welcome party in the courtyard, with Mirabeau Rose and monogrammed cocktails flowing. Guests were treated to a delicious grazing table and Harriet and Andrew made the most of the gorgeous sunset for a few couple portraits. The festivities continued on Saturday afternoon with a beautiful outdoor ceremony beneath the conifer trees, followed by an al fresco wedding dinner beneath a canopy of festoon lighting. Harriet and Andrew wanted to create a 'laid-back luxe' celebration their guests could enjoy, while incorporating their love of rosé, flowers, good food, and fabulous entertainment. The weekend ended with a pool party on Sunday after which their guests returned back to the UK and further afield.
Harriet was a vision in her crisp white Suzanne Neville gown with soft floral detail on the bodice. She kept her look quite simple and elegant, completing it with a flowing veil and delicate Christian Dior heels (a subtle nod to her love of France and fashion).
The entire weekend was a celebration of delicious French food - from the grazing tables on Friday night at their welcome party, to delicate canapes during cocktail hour (some of the highlights included macarons with fig goat cheese and thyme and mini scallops with parsley butter. The Buckrider Bar was on hand for signature cocktails and Maison Mirabeau Rose, keeping their guests in high spirits throughout the evening! Dinner was a feast for the eyes - main course Beef rump steak with truffle mash & sauce, or Cod fillet with salted butter, veloute of favouilles and risotto, followed by cheese courses and lemon meringue pie for dessert.
Harriet adores flowers so from her beautiful bouquet (peonies, roses sweet peas and more) to the stunning ceremony arch and meadow arrangements lining the aisle, to the floor and long dinner table arrangements, Lettre à Elise Events used an abundance of white flowers and foliage to add wow-factor to the day. A sparkling Mirabeau Stand Display served as the exquisite table plan where guests could find their place cards, tied to the stem of a chilled glass of Rose, before being seated at the table.
The wedding cake was a traditional vanilla and caramel croquembouche.
