A Something Blue Coastal-Classic Rosemary Beach Soiree for a Wedding Planner Turned Bride
The vision for this wedding was Southern, coastal-elegance, with an intimate dinner party feel to it. I really wanted the venue, The Pearl Hotel, to speak for itself with touches of blue to tie in the beach vibe. We wanted our guests to feel like they were transported to a quaint coastal town (not in Florida) to celebrate our love! It was a small, intimate wedding with all of our closest friends & family!
Joshua and Lauryn met in high school chemistry class and ended up beginning their love story a few years later when they were at the same college (Troy University). After five years of dating, Joshua arranged and planned a family dinner night with both of their families (or so I thought that was it). On the way to dinner, we made a pit stop at the Sybil Temple Overlook spot in Vestavia Hills, AL, where Joshua got down on one knee and proposed to Lauryn! It was just the two of us, so romantic & intimate! Joshua had set up his phone in the bushes, where he was video-recording the whole proposal! I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect! Then, after the proposal, we drove to have dinner with both our families & celebrated the start of our engagement season!!
My wedding gown was by Rita Vinieris from the collection Rivini! I purchased my wedding gown at Ivory & White Bridal Boutique in Mountain Brook, Alabama. My veil & custom earrings to match the flowers on my dress were both from Ivory & White as well.
The Bridesmaid's dresses were from MuMu Weddings by SHow Me Your Mumu! The dress was "Harper Gown" in the color steel blue stretch! They were slim fit with a tied bow across the chest!
The Groom & groomsmen both wore simple black tuxedos with black bow ties from Mr. Burch Formal Wear in Mountain Brook, Alabama
The food & bar were both by The Pearl Hotel for our wedding. We had 4 delicious passed hors d'oeuvres for our guests during cocktail hour: crab cakes, a mini spring roll, a mini wagyu beef slider, and a mini chicken & waffles. Our dinner menu included a Caesar salad to start, Grilled Chicken Breast, Herb Roasted Beef Tenderloin with a red wine reduction & a chimichurri sauce option, Brussel sprouts with maple sherry vinaigrette & bacon, and Gourmet Macaroni and cheese. We had a full open bar for our guests that featured two his/her signature cocktails. Hers: Skinny Margarita & His: Vodka, ginger ale, lemon & lime or as the groom likes to call it, his "Golf Cocktail."
The flowers, candles & welcome signs were all created by Fishers Flowers 30a. Our ceremony site was overlooked the beach/ocean in Rosemary Beach, and Fishers Flowers framed this beautiful view with adorned white florals & greenery. All our wedding flowers were mostly white, with subtle touches of light blue & greenery. The bride's favorite flowers, Ranunculus & white tulips, were incorporated throughout the wedding florals. The head table was the focal point of the reception flowers featured a lush table runner of florals, greenery & taper candles. Dinner was on the rooftop of The Pearl Hotel & guests sat under string lights adorned with lush greenery.
The wedding cake was inspired by the bride's wedding dress & the floral detailing on the dress. The wedding cake was designed & made by Sweetly Sisters, and featured the flavors of Champagne with berries + Strawberry cake.
