Colorful Summer Garden Wedding With Pink and Citrus Hues
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
We wanted to create a day that matched Paola and Lucas's joyful and playful personalities. Not afraid of color, we leaned into pinks and citrus-hues to create a summer day that was both bright and enchanting.
Proposal Story
Paola and Lucas met at the University of Michigan and moved to Washington, D.C. after graduation. 8 years together, Lucas proposed at the Constitutional Gardens in Washington, D.C. (where Paola and Lucas were living at the time), and their families and friends flew out to celebrate with them afterwards at one of their favorite Mediterranean restaurants. They moved to the San Francisco Bay Area soon after.

The Details
Food & Drink
The food and drinks were endless on this warm summer day. Guests were greeted with sparkling wine dazzling in edible glitter. Cocktail hour brought refreshing bites and fun summery cocktails, including passionfruit margaritas with edible glitter, spiced whiskey sours topped with an edible monogram wafer, and mango monitors with personalized stir sticks. They then dined, laughed, and toasted under the warm California night sky and redwood trees.
Florals & Decor
We found these gorgeous watercolor floral linens from BBJ La Tavola that I knew we had to use. The print became the cornerstone of our design, influencing everything from the floral color palette to the chair and charger selections. Zuri Floral Design tied it all together with big, bouncy blooms that felt both playful and romantic, which were accompanied by brightly colored candles and freshly picked citrus.
Wedding Cake
Paola and Lucas shared a private moment during cocktail hour with a small personal-sized wedding cake and champagne.
