Summer Strawberry Wedding Inspiration at the Mayflower Inn & Spa
The Planning
The Inspiration
This shoot inspiration originally stemmed from a desire for more red in the wedding industry; it is punchy, fun and chic all at the same time. Elizabeth Hall first spotted Sharland England’s strawberry tablecloth and felt like it brought the perfect whimsical meets English garden feel that aligns with the Mayflower’s Celerie Kemble interiors. Sarah Worden’s lead florist, Lauren Merriam and Elizabeth worked closely to source the perfectly curated reception table. Small intricate details such as vintage wicker napkin rings from a local estate, scalloped glassware from Moda Operandi’s home line and Ginori’s stunning hand painted chargers brought this design together.

Wedding Gown
The models were styled by the incredibly talented Beth Chapman and beauty was done by Simply Gorgeous by Erin. Classic bridal shoes were selected from Aquazzura and, of course, there was no way to avoid using the perfect strawberry clutch from Judith Leiber Couture. The bride changed into the Meringue Dress by Watters for an “after party” look.

Florals & Decor
For the ceremony, Lauren of Sarah Worden Natural Designs wanted an altar piece that felt refreshing and different, but still aligned with the look of the shoot and the Mayflower. Lauren sourced the most stunning lattice urns from online retailer, The Enchanted Home, that framed the couple.
Favorite Design Element
With the look Elizabeth and Lauren were trying to achieve, they knew Laura Lines would be a natural fit to understand their vision for the paper details, and they worked with her to add a touch of stripe and a dainty raffia strawberry detail onto the menus.
Other stand out details included scalloped pottery, French wire pieces, an array of spring blooms chosen from local farms, and the sweetest strawberry flowers picked directly from the garden.
