Seriously Chic Springtime Wedding In The Virginia Countryside
Brigid and Brady's dream was to get married at a winery in Charlottesville, the town where they first met. They loved the views of King Family Vineyard, and wanted a neutral color palette to enhance all the beauty of the venue instead of compete with it. They also leaned heavily into florals and pastel accent colors to celebrate Spring in the Virginia countryside. For their reception, they wanted a Bridgerton vibe -- light bright garden-like florals, gold accents.
With the help of some of our closest friends, Brady convinced Brigid that they were attending a photography session with friends who had extra time with their wedding photographer. Little did she know that Brady arranged the whole thing with a proposal in mind! After some very convincing group shots, Taylor Swift started playing and Brigid looked up to see Brady on one knee!
After visiting many popular bridal boutiques, Brigid found her wedding gown in the same local bridal shop her mom found hers—Fantasy Bridal in Hamilton, NJ (now closed after 35 years in business). The designer was Casablanca Bridal.
The Local, one of Charlottesville's well known catering teams, curated a beautiful menu for the couple and their guests.
We worked with a local favored florist, Hedge Fine Blooms, to bring the bride's vision for lush and romantic garden florals to life!
Why have one cake when you can have FIVE?! Because these lovers couldn't decide on one flavor of cake for their guests to enjoy, they opted for five flavors from local Charlottesville cake baker extraordinaire, Cake Bloom. All cakes were showcased throughout reception and when it came time for the dessert course, guests could choose which flavor fit their fancy.
Brigid and Brady's families hadn't met prior to wedding weekend, so the couple days leading up to their beautiful celebration at KFV were full of lots of laughs and getting-to-know you-fun and time spent together. From wine-tasting to rehearsal dinner and welcome party festivities, Brigid and Brady loved seeing their families gel together just as they knew they would.
