A Modern Summer Al Fresco Wedding In Italy
The wedding style was freely inspired by the venue, the Convento Dell Annunciata. It was the first and only place the couple visited, and it was love at first sight, despite the visit taking place in February with rain and fog: even though the weather conditions were not optimal, the place conveyed a special magic, and both Marco and Andrea immediately identified the perfect spaces and corners to celebrate their story. The couple then chose pastel colors that perfectly matched the structure: the antique pink and yellow of the frescoes and walls, the brick color of the roofs, and the lush greenery of the Convent's beautiful park. These delicate yet strongly characterized colors were the starting point for the entire event organization.
Both the outfits for the grooms were designed and crafted by the skilled hands of Carlo and Laura from Ostellari Sartoria, who enthusiastically embraced the couples'; ideas. Andrea and Marco opted for white attire, both to honor tradition and to differentiate themselves from the palette chosen for the event. Andrea chose a double-breasted, elegant, and classy model, while Marco opted for a more creative design, characterized by a closure with a pendant-like belt.
For the planning of the appetizer and dinner menus, Marco and Andrea relied on the experience and professionalism of T'A Milano, who skillfully combined traditional and refined flavors with a sophisticated and elegant style. Before the ceremony, the couple chose to welcome their guests with a welcome drink, featuring non-alcoholic cocktails, flavored waters, and fruit juices. During the appetizer, various types of finger foods were served, such as Parmigiano Reggiano tacos, whipped codfish, and vegetable caviar, or Chianina beef tartare in a jar with puffed rice crackers and spiced mayonnaise. The rest was served at stations, including a special one specifically requested by the couple: the fried pizza station. For dinner, the newlyweds opted to serve two first courses (Carnaroli Reserve rice, langoustines, lime gel, Martini Dry, followed by "fagottelli"; pasta with trombetta zucchini, turmeric, cacioricotta cheese, Parmesan milk, porcini mushroom pollen) and a second course (Veal fillet cooked at low temperature, with whipped potato puree and zucchini "rocks").
For the flowers, the couple gave free rein to the expert, Maria Grazia Lo Iacono, who proposed a variety of flowers that fit well with the event's palette. Among these, Andrea and Marco selected some that, according to them, had the most character and would add a touch of personality to the look and feel of the day. To replace the bouquet, Maria Grazia proposed creating important boutonnieres, which captured the attention of all the guests and, at the end of the wedding, Andrea and Marco had them dried and framed. For the ceremony, the couple chose to give more space to the forest setting rather than adding more greenery; for this reason, the only floral point was a grounded arch, arranged like a big embrace for the couple. Against the backdrop of nature's splendor, they exchanged vows in a ceremony that spoke of commitment, devotion, and the profound bond they shared. In that area, there is an atmosphere of intimacy and magic that blended perfectly with the rustic style furnishings used for the ceremony, such as the walnut-colored wooden chairs with crossed coppery iron backrests and rattan seats, and the welcome bags made of recycled paper, containing a rainbow fan, tissues for happy tears, a mini seating chart for dinner, and insect repellent. After the aperitivo, the festivities continued in the grove, where a clearing surrounded by trees and woods served as the enchanting setting for the wedding dinner. Three imperial tables, adorned with candles and fairy lights, awaited the guests, inviting them to partake in a truly culinary journey 100% made in Italy. For the table, matched with the flowers, Maria Grazia chose to use white textured vases and terracotta-pink ones, along with white ceramic candle holders alternating with gold ones with glass flame. The colors from Andrea and Marco's palette were reflected in the glasses, plates, and cutlery, creating delicate and elegant shades on the long tables. To achieve an intimate, welcoming, and stunning ambiance, Gionata and the couple chose vintage pendants to illuminate the secret garden nestled in the center of the forest: with their soft light, positioned at different heights on the tables, they warmed up the evening and further embellished the aesthetic.
