All Things Pretty and Pink at Boxwood Manor in Texas!

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The wedding colors were shades of pink and burgundy. [/field]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]I wanted the wedding to be traditional and timeless, with a hint of a whimsical garden presence. Most importantly, I wanted all things bright, happy, and pink![/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Ben and I got engaged near my parent’s wedding anniversary, so the proposal was disguised as an anniversary celebration for them. He proposed to me under a beautiful oak tree with a picnic of champagne and strawberries. All our friends and family members were there, and the celebrations lasted well into the night. We all sang karaoke for hours. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The wedding dress designer was Eva Lendel; my dress was the Lika dress. I fell in love with the elegance of the gown and the detachable cape for a subtle change after the ceremony. [/field]

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bridesmaid’s dresses were the most elegant one-shoulder dresses. They were a soft blush color, and I felt like the style was timeless while still chic and modern. [/field]

[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]My husband and his groomsmen got their attire from The Black Tux. They wore a classic tuxedo that was timeless, traditional, and will never go out of style.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Keeping in line with a traditional wedding feel, we opted for a plated meal—more than anything, guests tend to remember the food. We served a two-course meal, beginning with a salad and moving on to an option of braised short rib or chicken Wellington.

Our signature drinks were very in line with our personalities. The bride’s drink was fruity, pink, and fresh, while the groom’s was an old fashion. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Lush and feminine garden-style florals full of delicate blooms and trailing vines exude an elegant and timeless charm.

Florals were used to surround the wedding cake, reminiscent of a picturesque floral meadow, creating a whimsical atmosphere and encapsulating the beauty of a serene garden setting. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The wedding cake was the height of nine tiers and covered in buttercream with cream cheese filling. It had a vintage and romantic feel, rich textures, and elegant edible lace.[/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Words have always been significant to me. I knew that the music, vows, and speeches would be something that I was very methodical about. Our pastor asked us to write down our favorite things about each other. We both put a lot of thought and explanation into these three things. It was read aloud by him during our ceremony and is still one of my most treasured parts of the wedding.

I walked down the aisle to the piano version of “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston—that first soft key at the beginning of the song made for a memorable entrance. [/field]
