An Elegant Summer Wedding At Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
From the Planner- Our client really wanted their event to be romantic. The venue is so gorgeous, but to achieve her feel we needed to add some softness and gentle sparkle to balance out the masculinity of the Lodge. Fluffy, lush florals were a priority as well as finding opportunities to incorporate some personal touches and charm.
Proposal Story
From the Bride- Thomas and I have a new special place in our hearts after he proposed to me on August 4, 2022. We vacationed in Portland, Maine, visiting my sister and meeting my niece for the first time while we were there. All along, the plan was that we were going to take family photos at a sweet place named Willard Beach in South Portland . My sister and brother in law each drove Thomas and I separately to the beach because the girls were running a bit behind! When we arrived, Thomas took my arm and led me down the path, and that is when I knew something special was about to happen. As we are walking towards the beach, he stopped me at the edge of the coastline, looking out at the sailboats situated on top of the beautiful water and asked me to marry him! He had a photographer hiding nearby to capture every second. Having those photos to look back on is so special to me. It was a day full of surprises and one I will never forget.

Wedding Gown
From the Bride- My wedding gown was a silk, laced, off-the shoulder Monique Lhuillier gown from Warren Barrón Bridal in Dallas, TX. I went in to dress shop with a lace gown in mind, but this dress was not just any lace gown. The detail of the lace, how comfortable it felt on, and how beautifully it fit my body were just a few of the reasons why I fell in love with the dress. This gown was on my mind the entire weekend, so I had to go back and try it on for a second time! I said yes to the dress as soon as they had me try on the matching veil. I could not wait to show Thomas. It was such a hard secret to keep!

The Details
Food & Drink
From the Planner- The couple gave their guests a real treat and served them a dual entree of tenderloin and sea bass, which are some of the most amazing options at the venue.
Florals & Decor
From the Planner- The florals were lush and very romantic. We wanted everything to feel just a little over the top but completely elegant. MANY soft pink garden roses had their moment at this wedding.
Wedding Cake
From the Planner- I drew the lace pattern from Lannie's wedding dress into the cake sketch and partnered with the amazing pastry chef at the venue to create something elegant, but custom and specific to Lannie's wedding. The actual cake was funfetti, so it was a cute surprise for everyone.
