Refined Villa Aurelia Wedding In The Heart Of Rome

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

In the magnificence of Villa Aurelia in the heart of Rome, on a warm July day, the romantic and sophisticated wedding of Celine and Jake enchanted all the guests who arrived from all over the world. The vibes of the entire event were very refined, and the pure colors of white and powder pink, together with the luxurious design of the imperial tables with the chandeliers, creating a refined and classy atmosphere, made everything timeless.

Proposal Story
We met at school when we were only 15 years old. After going our separate ways because we moved to different countries we got back into contact via social media. After a couple of years of dating, Jake surprised me with a romantic candlelit dinner on the beach at the One & Only in Dubai where he proposed. Jake had spent months planning not only the proposal but also the engagement ring, picking out every element of the ring to make it as perfect as possible. The proposal was a complete surprise to me and I couldn’t have picked a more perfect proposal or ring. The night ended with our families joining us at the hotel where we celebrated.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown

Celine wore a dress by Bloomfeld Bridal, a luxury brand from Belgium. The fine lace dress with the low back was very romantic and elegant. For the party she wore a second dress, a short one in white satin, it looked great on her and was very suitable for dancing. Jake and his groomsmen wore very elegant Tight suit giving a touch of royalty.

Bridesmaid Dresses

The bridesmaids wore gorgeous blush pink chiffon dresses by SHow Me Your Mumu. They were all different but in the same style, perfect with the wedding colors.

The Details
Food & Drink

After moving on from the ceremony in Villa Aurelia’s secret garden, Canapés were served in the Italian Garden while a harpist and violinist duo played. These included Giant prawns in crispy kataifi dough in coriander sauce, miniature bruschetta, and a live cooking deep friend corner. Drinks included Peroni’s and Aperol Spritz.

Florals & Decor

The tables were white, with pastel-colored candles on the tables and chandeliers covered in gypsophila to create a romantic atmosphere. The table flowers included hydrangeas, roses, and lilies in white and pink pastels.

Wedding Cake

The wedding cake was a simple and classic 4-tier white cake with a bride and groom statue that had been passed down from the bride's grand parent’s side. As the cake was cut, cold fireworks went off behind the couple.

Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
The bride walked down the aisle to How Long Will I Love You, played by a violin and harp duo. They chose two readings, the first one read by the maid of honour, “ sooner or later” and the second one a passage from a letter Johnny cash to June Carter (1994). The couple had a ribbon tying ceremony with 3 ribbons, White to symbolise innocence and purity, pink to symbolise romance and tenderness and Green to symbolise prosperity and generosity.
