Barcelona Destination Wedding in an Enchanting Villa Designed by Antoni Gaudí's Right-Hand Architect
Kathy and Dan got married on a summer day in La Baronia, an Art Nouveau-style mansion surrounded by the lavish nature of Catalunya, designed by Joan Rubio, the righthand architect of Antoni Gaudí'. Kathy and Dan had always dreamt of having a destination wedding due to their diverse backgrounds and love for travel. With Dan coming from Israel and Kathy's extended family in Taiwan, they wanted a location that would bring everyone together. Living in Tokyo and being avid travelers themselves, they sought to infuse a sense of adventure into their wedding day. Barcelona held a special place in Dan's heart as he had spent significant time there during his upbringing, and it was a cherished spot for his late father. Therefore, it was the perfect choice for them to celebrate their love and honor the memory of Dan's father in this significant and meaningful setting.
Kathy chose her dress at Kleinfelds in NYC as an homage to their time spent living in the big city for a year before they embarked on their travels to Tokyo where they live now. The Pronovias wedding dress is romantic and detailed in subtle ways- which felt like a good match to our venue, La Baronia.
