A Classic Coastal Aesthetic Inspired by the Couple’s Love for Cape Cod

Inspired by the couples love for Cape Cod, the vision for the wedding was a classic coastal aesthetic with a colorful twist to showcase their fun-loving personalities and create an inviting and warm evening for their family and friends. Wychmere Beach Club was the perfect setting, with the timeless elegance of the Harbor Room alongside the stunning views of Wychmere Harbor. Signage by Pink Polka Dot, along with different textures and whimsical florals, created timeless coastal touches.

Both Josh and Gina have a mutual love for Cape Cod, as Josh grew up in Falmouth and Gina’s family has a summer home in Brewster. In August 2021, Josh planned a date night watching the sunset with a bottle of wine and pizza at Gina’s favorite beach. After a beautiful sunset, they were walking along the stunning Brewster flats, completely alone, when Josh got down on one knee! That weekend the couple celebrated with family at their favorite restaurant, Spinnaker.

In true Cape Cod fashion, guests enjoyed raw bar during cocktail hour along with other light bites including steak tacos, mac and cheese bites, lobster poptarts, chicken skewers and flatbreads. Signature Drinks: Hers: Cape Thyme Lemonade His: Moscow Mule Sophie’s (their pup!): Espresso Martini For dinner, guests dined on ribeye and salmon. Late night bites included pizza, sliders and sour cream and onion tots.

The stunning florals designed by Botanique of Cape Cod included peonies, garden roses and ranunculus in vibrant shades of coral, peach, soft yellow, blush and blue. Guests were greeted by a gorgeous floral arbor and rose petal aisle overlooking Wychmere Harbor as they entered the ceremony. Bud vases and greenery were used to add simple elegance to cocktail hour along with personal touches including custom cocktail napkins of their puppy, Sophie! Dynamic high and low centerpieces filled with vibrant blooms added texture to the reception space. Place settings included a textured dusty blue napkin, water goblet, rattan charger plate and an olive sprig, representing peace and friendship!

Fenway String Quartet played the ceremony music and modern pop songs during cocktail hour, which further complimented the couple’s classic yet fun vibe.

The couples favorite moment from their wedding day was the private vows they did during their first look. It was so special to have such an intimate, meaningful moment just the two of them.

Rather than doing a traditional guest book, the couple opted for an audio guest book, which was a huge hit with guests! They left well wishes throughout the evening and having the recordings of their loved ones will be a keepsake the couple treasures forever.

The bride’s family has always treasured the symbolism of a lucky penny. The bride’s mother gifted her a 2023 penny in the same penny pouch she used on her wedding day, which the bride carried with her for good luck!
