Summer Inspiration in a Private Garden on the Greek Riviera

Inspiration for the project started from the... tree! Yes, you read this right - it was the blossom of Angel's Trumpet - one of the common trees in Athens Riviera - with its magnificent yellow flowers. One of the goals we always pursue in our styled shoots is to embrace the richness of the location and to discover its specialties to the couples looking for unique place to tie the knot.

The venue was the private garden, inspiring us to offer an idea of embracing the intimate celebrations in family houses like this one. This is kind of a "quiet luxury" for us - having your unique venue, which nobody else will ever be able to replicate!

Wedding gown was chosen from the bride's wardrobe - again - as a nod to family traditions, family heritage and - embracing the minimalistic elegance. Nothing should distract you from the main thing - bride's beauty!

Oh did we let ourselves go creative with the florals! Not only did Svitlana from Sweet Kvitka foraged the bloomings offered by the land of Athenian Riviera itself, but she added some home-grown tulips which traveled all the way from her London garden.

We don't want to be that obvious, but the Angels' Trumpet flower did become the center element for us. And it opened up in all its beauty in a composition created by Svitlana with a antique-inspired greek vase and branches of tangerines straight from the tree.

A good point to start is to look what the location you chose can offer for you - in terms of floristics, venues, traditions, ideas, colors etc. Listen to what has response in your heart and embrace the simplicity over complication. Choose the main element to build all the concept around - this way you'll be able to communicate with designers and other vendors. Try to search for venues not only on wedding web-sites, but explore the private houses for rent or boutique hotels, or - visit your family house to pay tribute to your family heritage!
