Interior Designer's Vibrant San Miguel de Allende Wedding
When I first visited San Miguel on a girls' trip, I instantly fell in love. Being an interior designer, I loved all the gorgeous architecture and beautiful doors. For my wedding, I wanted my friends to enjoy the place I loved so much. Even though the journey from Los Angeles was long, I knew it would be a trip that everyone would remember.
After a year and a half of dating, my husband Mix took me up to Montecito for a fun afternoon. I love the gardens of San Ysidro Ranch and he proposed to me in the beautiful gardens. I was so shocked, I don’t remember what he said, but I somehow managed to scream out, "YES!" We celebrated all weekend long and we have the best memories.
I wanted my bridesmaids to feel their best! I let them choose any dress that was in the pink spectrum. I loved how all the dresses complemented the venue.
My husband, Mix, wore a custom Tom Ford Tux. All of his groomsmen wore a traditional black tux and he wore a white jacket, which made him stand out.
For tapas, we had mini fish tacos, tuna, and chipotle mini tostadas. They were served in black volcanic stone platers with a beautiful bougainvillea, giving it a Mexican touch. For the menu, we had a three-course dinner: Ensalada San Miguel, bicolor cream of poblano, and roasted corn, and for the main dish we had an amazing beef tenderloin or green chicken enchiladas and Mexican-style beans. After dinner, we had gigantic margaritas on each table so we could all share, it was lots of fun.

Penzi, our wedding planner, hired Familia Cortes - an amazing violin ensemble. We chose classic but fun songs played in their very colorful and fun violins.
