The wedding day was as equally emotional as it was impeccably curated, with design choices inspired to create a playful, modern, and fresh mountain aesthetic. The vision for the day was to achieve a romantic, soft, and whimsical vibe – keeping fun, joy, and warmth as the guiding energy of the party. It was important for the ceremony to be deeply personal, intimate, and of the times. A dear friend of the couple officiated and centered the ceremony around love and cherishing those around us.

[field title=”Proposal Story”] On their five-year anniversary and a frigid Boston day, the bride and groom went to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, where the groom proposed in front of the stunning and iconic courtyard. Afterward, the bride was surprised first by a celebration with both of their families and then by a surprise party with dozens of their closest friends from around the country for a truly unforgettable weekend overflowing with love and joy.

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”] Compiled a mix of complimentary gowns – Each member of the bridal party was encouraged to choose a soft pink or yellow dress that suited their style. It just so happened that the bride’s sister was the only one to choose yellow, which made for a special Maid of Honor look.

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The cocktail lovers & connoisseurs turned to beverages to playfully nod to a few of their favorite relationship eras (like crowd-favorites Daylight and Lavender Haze) that kept the bar (and the dance floor!) buzzing all night long. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Alongside the brilliant team with The Perfect Petal and Knapp Design Co., we created a color story pairing both pastels and bolder brights to amplify the mountaintop beauty of Vail Village. Bundling wildflowers alongside cosmos and garden roses, pops of light pinks and soft yellows created the chicest garden party vibe that further complimented (and amplified) colorful guest fashion selections. Subtle floral notes continued through hand-painted floral menus paired alongside a fresh light green napkin, dried flower frames that doubled as a guest seat selection, and take-home favors. From The Perfect Petal regarding color palette: “We’ll dive into a wide palette of pastel colors with some pops of brighter colors thrown in. With a variety of different florals, we will achieve amazing texture and a good balance between a natural and modern feel.”

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Equally drawn to meaningful moments of music that defined their partnership, sweet lyrical lines like “Your Magic Does Something to Me” (Band is Head and the Heart and song is See You Through My Eyes if you want to credit!) were thoughtfully shared on welcome signage and guest favors, giving a heartwarming peek into their love language. The couple’s first dance was to “Missing Piece” by Vance Joy – a selection that felt fateful when he opened with the song during the concert they attended just a few months before the wedding.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Being in the mountains is the couple’s happy place, so they chose to exchange private vows at the top of Vail mountain before the ceremony in town.
