For their long-awaited wedding, they chose the picturesque Black Butte Ranch as the backdrop for their love story. Nestled in the heart of Oregon, the ranch's sprawling landscapes provided the perfect canvas for their wedding. They wanted their wedding to have a laidback vibe, but also feel like a scene from a wedding in the Hamptons. The rolling hills and majestic mountains mirrored the journey they had traveled together—filled with highs and lows, but always leading to the next beautiful chapter. Vibrant colors filled the air as the couple embraced the joyous occasion with an abundance of lively florals. A bright and cheery color palette, inspired by the local flowers that adorned the ranch, set the tone for a celebration as unique and radiant as the love they shared.

Food & Drink

To begin the evening, guests were greeted with sparkling rose, which sat as the entrance to the ceremony. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed passed mini charcuterie cups filled with olives, nuts, fresh fruit skewers and cheeses, which were adorned with the couples initials. Couples sipped signature cocktails of spicy blackberry margaritas and espresso martinis. Guests enjoyed a family-style meal of local farm-to-table cuisine; including heirloom salad, grilled asparagus, roasted potatoes, prime rib, and buttered Salmon. The fun didn't stop during dancing, as guests were passed homemade ice cream sandwiches, rolled in colorful sprinkles! The ice cream sandwiches were passed in custom made acrylic boxes which read: We All Scream For Ice Cream.

Florals & Decor

Hana wanted florals that reminded her of the sunset. With this palette in mind Kim chose some of the most beautiful local blooms such as dahlias, lisianthus, garden roses, and zinnias to bring a bright, cheery feel to the ceremony and reception space. She topped in off with peach-colored taper and votive candles in more modern style holders.

Wedding Cake

Their wedding cake also came from the venue, but it wasn't a main focus because the evening desserts were custom ice cream sandwiches from Black Butte Ranch.

Middle school sweethearts. Their relationship—filled with warmth, vibrancy, and an enduring commitment to a love that had weathered the test of time.

Special Detail #2

Hana is a preschool teacher, who works alongside her mother-in-law. They invited the entire preschool class and all their parents and asked her preschool kids to be their flower girls and ring bearers.
