We featured shades of creamy peach, ivories and creams, and champagne, with pops of jade green & variations of pink. Peach and creamy whites were the hero colors, with shade variations of the others to add dimension and vibrancy to the overall wedding.

The bride requested a romantic, elevated, and decadent celebration set at Dallas’ own local French chateau, with a whimsical twist to add some movement, life, and dimension to the day.

The proposal story, as D’marosay details: “Gersom picked me up with a driver, and we went to The Ritz to eat at Fearing’s. After a lovely meal, he told me in the car that he had a surprise and that he wasn’t just taking me straight home. We arrived, instead, at The Westin in Las Colinas. He led me upstairs to a suite on the top floor. When I walked in, I was shocked to see the entire room covered in flower petals, bouquets, and candles. I was in absolute awe, and he took my hand and started giving wonderful reflections about our relationship. As that was happening, a camera crew came out of a closed door and began capturing the moment. Soon, he was on one knee with a beautiful ring, and of course, I said yes! We celebrated with champagne and had a mini photoshoot with the photographers afterward. It was a fantastic evening.”

The bride donned a custom Nardos Design, Dallas Texas gown featuring a blind texture. The voluminous skirt was detachable so she could go from a show-stopping and romantic look at a ceremony to a chic and refined ensemble at the reception. She had sleeves added for a little extra romance! She then changed into an iridescent sparkly jumpsuit for their 70’s themed band set to finish off the party of their lives! All before exiting in a chic, off-the-shoulder, dual-material midi dress. Paired with classic bridal Louboutins, of course!

The shimmering bridesmaids’ gowns were designed by Alfred Sung and sourced from Dessy Group. The one-shouldered, champagne satin trumpet gowns accentuated each bridesmaid’s feminine silhouette while still looking chic and modern.

Self-proclaimed foodies Dmarosay and Gersom made it a priority to curate the perfect menu for their guests and the big day, so we sought the experts at Food Glorious Food to make their perfect menu. Their plated meal started with a first course of curried crab cakes with mango chutney on top. Their second course and entree featured a tender, red wine braised short rib and an herb-crusted salmon. Served with seasonal vegetables and Boursin potato mousseline. Guests were also greeted at their seats with a custom Kate Weiser Chocolate chocolate displayed under a cloche upon seating. Appetizers were passed with custom tea towels to signal which hors d’oeuvre was being served- a combination of lobster risotto cakes, vegetable dumplings, and smoked gouda pimento cheese gougeres. All with a lush and decadent charcuterie Board by Bailey available for guests to nibble on as they please. Food was in no short supply!

D’marosay’s wedding vision was to include lots of textures over patterns- just like her gown! We sought ivory & cream linens where we could play with textures. The head tables featured white jacquard linens, a favorite textile of the brides, and the guest tables featured an ivory overlay. Florals were designed to be colored and bloom-blocked to give the arrangements a little extra whimsy and something different from the traditional arrangement. Petals Couture also found the perfect shade of green for the taper candles! For the guests, we designed a menu that mimicked the head table dinner plates to act as both decor and be functional. Guests absolutely loved it!

The couple wanted a tall and grand cake featuring sugar sails and flowers, with pearlized elements to give it a little extra blind accent. They also chose Fancy Cakes By Lauren‘s famous Amaretto flavor to serve to their guests for dessert. Topped with a custom cake topper in their likeness!

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]D’marosay & Gersom wanted string musicians to perform their entry songs into their ceremony- classic, and reverent. They also had the special touch of including a personal pastor close to them to perform the ceremony. You can see how moved they both were during the ceremony, where there was singing and joy abound![/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]D’marosay’s favorite flower is a hibiscus, so we made it a point to incorporate it subtly into design elements where we could- the dance floor, the reception paperie, and even the cake![/field]
