The Details
Food & Drink
Apollinare provided an amazing aperitivo with a variety of passed small bites and over the top food stations. The couple added on an Umbrian traditions station with the brides favorite omelette with black truffle. For the dinner they had a pappa pomodor stuffed pasta and a choice of filet mignon or mixed seafood served in foil. They decided to do a show cooking of millefoglie with the chef instead of a sponge cake, which was so fun to watch and delicious to taste. For the late night bites that had traditional porchetta sandwiches.
Florals & Decor
The overall design was organic and garden inspired. The florals felt as if they were growing from the ground and the tables, and nothing was exactly the same. It was meant to feel like a their was a garden within the ancient monastery. Having a lot of color was important, but to keep it within soft and warm tones through the emerald greens and amber, mauve, and blush tones. There were real pieces of fruit tucked in the arrangements and colored taper candles were used throughout the tablescape design. The chandeliers added some rich elegance to the room and created a warm atmosphere during the dinner.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake was a traditional millefoglie with frutta di bosca, puff pastry, and italian cream that was built live by the couple and the chef.
