Blending Modern Style With Whimsical Charm in Newport, Rhode Island

Kadeem and Lisa’s proposal story started about a year and a half before the big day! In true Kadeem fashion, he really went out of his way to make the proposal special. He flew in family from Jamaica, surprised Lisa with a new car, and then took her to a winery to celebrate. Upon arrival, a beautifully designed room held all of their closest family members to celebrate Lisa’s surprise birthday. Just before they were served dinner, Kadeem got down on one knee and proposed to Lisa. It was one of the most magical moments! Lisa said yes, and they partied the night away.

Lisa’s delicate and beautiful dress was designed by Pnina Tornai at Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC.

The lovely bridesmaids donned gorgeous moss green gowns by Jenny Yoo, perfectly complementing the romantic color palette of the event.

The groom and groomsmen brought a refined, timeless look in black tuxedos, the perfect choice to pair with the bridesmaids' elegant moss gowns.

Entrees included petite filet mignon with butter-poached local lobster and potatoes, seared Nordic blu salmon, and roasted tomato stuffed with eggplant caponata.

The welcome sign featured modern elegance with its mirrored design adorned in lush greenery and pops of flowers, greeting guests as they arrived. The ceremony boasted a large and abundant arbor overflowing with greenery and accents of pink and orange hues. Lush floral arrangements lined the aisle, to be repurposed later into the reception décor. The bar displayed organic, fall-inspired arrangements across the sleek modern bar top and opulent greenery garlands. The reception staircase was decked with repurposed greenery from the ceremony aisle arrangements combined with added florals in complementary tones. Guest tables dazzled with Anna Petal white linens, floral chargers, and champagne napkins, all paired with glimmering gold chairs and glassware for a touch of glow. The focal point head table commanded attention with overhead floral globes, abundant garlands, and ample candlelight.

The elegant four-tier wedding cake featured a minimalist style with pure white frosting adorned simply and beautifully with organic florals matching the color scheme.

Lisa’s uncle, a pastor, curated a beautiful and personal ceremony.

A stilt walker came out to start the party near the tail end of the wedding, surprised everyone, and got the party going!

Kadeem’s family is from Jamaica, so we had steel drums and a live Jamaican band perform the ceremony and cocktail hour. It brought the Jamaican island vibe to Newport to make all of the guests feel lively, relaxed, and at home!

We brought in a Jamaican DJ for the after party where they listened to Jamaican music and danced all night beside the Newport coast.
