It comes as no surprise that Provence is a well-loved wedding destination, known for its lovely sunny weather, picturesque landscape, delicious food, and wine (most notably Provençal Rosé). This region creates an atmosphere of celebration from the start. A short 10-mile journey from Marseille takes you to the alluring Provencal venue, Bastide de Toursainte, which Jingjing and Alexandre chose to celebrate their wedding day together with their dearest ones. This venue is exactly what you’d imagine when thinking of the classic Provence wedding location. With a dreamy Provence color palette of ivory, tender lavender, and apricot, floral designer Sophie Robert created delicate and sophisticated floral designs to enhance the bastide’s beauty.

On the morning of the wedding, Jingjing and the bridesmaids got ready in the gorgeous bridal suite, sipping champagne as the slow wedding day started to unfold. Later, enjoying the couple’s shoots in the alley of the majestic plane trees, the couple had their ride in their getaway car. The ceremony takes place in the gorgeous tiny garden of Bastide de Toursainte, with the arch placed near the French fountain wall framed with seasonal flowers. The florist created a flower-filled outdoor wedding ceremony space using seasonal flower arrangements that were stunning in their simplicity. After tying the knot, the couple and the guests walked down to the enchanting fountain park afterward for a champagne reception, enjoying the jazz music and beautiful sunset.

Choosing La Truffe Noire meant to have the truly authentic South France cousine experience. During the cocktail hour guests were greeted with champagne and rosé wine of the area including the most desired drink of summer- Aperol spritz. For the first entree of the dinner Salad Gourmande with fresh French Herbs and lemongrass. The second course was sliced beef atop cauliflower with sweet potatoes and seasoned vegetables. The dinner wouldn’t be complete without the cheese board including the iconic selection of Brie with Truffle, Goat cheese and flowers of Tête de Moine, paired with Provence honey. After dinner we had an open bar, but continued to serve the specialty drinks. The dinner was served in front of the breathtaking terrace with the magnificent flower arch behind the newlyweds. Candlelight added an incredible atmosphere and intimacy to the entire wedding dinner. It looked a dream to dine directly under the stars and in the warm light of the glowing bastide.

The florals of the reception reflects a perfect harmony between garden roses, sweet peas, delphiniums, and hydrangeas, evoking the essence of floral beauty during this season. That transformed the Bastide de Toursainte into a sumptuous botanical garden, the masterpiece of this day. The wedding reception table was set in front of the terrace of bastide, adorned with a white table linen that paired beautifully with the soft flowers and natural wooden chairs.

Jingjing and Alexandre cut into the most elegant cake created by Le Garde Manger. After feeding each other bits of their cake, coffee and tea were made available to their guests as well as small bite sized assorted desserts such as mini chocolate bonbons and cheesecakes with fresh berries on top.[/field]
