Simplistic Elegance at Meadows at Mossy Creek

While the overall palette was clean and all floral done in whites, we incorporated earth tones into the wedding party attire and linen. The Bridesmaids each wear a beautiful taupe dress, and the Bridesmen in matching sandy colored suits. We also snuck in subtle blue into their details, signage, cake, and outdoor linen selections!

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

Wedding Style and Design for this event can be described as modern and minimalist. We strived to achieve a clean design aesthetic that was modern, bold, and wow-worthy. The Couple had a family member design their Save the Date in a custom toile print, so we leaned into this as an accent pattern incorporating those same design elements into their cocktail table linens (provided by I DO Linens) and paper goods (bar signage). Haley and Peter’s vision for the day was for it to be a blend of documentary moments with guidance and direction but a low-pressure feel. They really preferred the more candid moments and desired to have this of them as a couple and of guests. They wanted the photography experience to be very organic, with some posed setups throughout the day, but balanced well. Haley loves artistic images with a modern touch, a mixture of B&W, and capturing the feeling of the moment. Drawing her inspiration from Vogue weddings. Which was perfect because that is exactly how I approach and how I document a wedding day. For the feel of the photos they wanted. Sophisticated, elegant, vogue aesthetic/vibes, simplistic yet modern, whimsical, timeless but playful and unique touches. To bring out the party vibe for the reception, bold/dramatic lighting and flash. One of their favorite poses was holding hands and walking towards me. Haley looks at the camera with a soft smile, and Peter looks over at Haley.

Guests enjoyed southern-inspired passed appetizers of Fried Green Tomatoes with Jalapeno aioli, Cajun Shrimp and Grits shooters, and Georgia Peach Bruschettas with Feta and Balsamic. The main, plated entree for guests included an herb-crusted beef tenderloin with gouda mashed potatoes, honey-roasted carrots, and petite green beans. Guests also had the option to enjoy vidalia onion glazed chicken in addition to the beef, which was served family style to each table as a second entree option. Such a fun and innovative dinner service! Keeping with the Georgia flavors, the dessert comprised of a warm peach cobbler with fresh whipped cream and vanilla bean ice cream!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Lush white florals set the scene for a sophisticated yet romantic feel for the day. Stylish Stems (Blosm) flawlessly executed the design with tons of white florals and tapered candles all in clear glass and white ceramic vessels. The ceremony included a circular arch with a gorgeous asymmetrical floral arrangement framing out the couple and several low floral arrangements lining the aisles. Several of the aisle arrangements were repurposed inside on round guest tables while other guests were seated at wooden farm tables filled with single-stem roses in bud vases, leaning into that modern, minimalist design.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

A clean, white cake adorned with handmade sugar flowers and a subtle yet eye-catching outline of a blue ruffled edge played into the overall design aesthetic for the day. Modern and Romantic by Bisoux Bakery.
