A Blissful Peach-Toned Wedding Soiree Unfolds At Dillingham Ranch
The bride wanted an elegant outdoor affair that matched her sexy, fun, and flirty style—the wedding weekend started with an intimate rehearsal dinner at Merriman's in Honolulu, Hawai'i. The bride called it "Berriman's at Merriman's." Guests were asked to wear all white, while the couple incorporated their "something blue" into their fashion. The day of the grand celebration had timeless touches with European florals in blush, corals, and peach to compliment the lush green surroundings of their historic venue, Dillingham Ranch, located on the north side of O'ahu island. The day was full of sunshine with the half-arch ceremony seating, elevated lounges, and one long dinner table surrounded by royal palms. The bride aimed for a classic design with just a little bit of extra touch! The citrus and candle vibes added a spring/summery experience for her guests.
Hannah and Caleb met during the fall semester at The University of Texas at Austin in 2019. After a failed attempt by Caleb and his friends to go to a frat party and Hannah being tired of the party and wanting to go to sleep, fate brought them together on the streets of West Campus. Caleb couldn’t take his eyes off Hannah the rest of the evening and asked her to dinner only two days later. But he couldn’t wait that long to see her. They had their first official date the next day. Hannah and Caleb were inseparable for the next two weeks. Before boarding the plane from Hobart, Caleb was told, “Don’t you dare fall in love over there”. It took approximately 9 days for him to break that promise. The following five months were filled with learning, love, and excitement as they took on college life together. Caleb extended his study abroad (no pun intended) to stay another semester. Hannah shared everything about Texas, her family, and her faith with Caleb. On May 31st, 2020, they were separated due to the pandemic. Not knowing when they would be reunited, they promised that they would get back to each other no matter what or where. And 566 days later, they did it. Determination, trust, and daily FaceTime calls kept them going. Hannah and Caleb were finally reunited on December 17th, 2021. Caleb proposed to Hannah the very next day. He decided the 360 Bridge from their third date was the perfect spot. After being watched only by a carefully placed iPhone camera, he got down on one knee at sunset, and Hannah said yes. The ring was engraved with their phrase, “No matter what, no matter where.” While Hannah thought they were going to Chuy’s for a date afterward, little did she know they were going to be celebrating with family and friends. It was the perfect way to celebrate their love and reunion!
Hannah chose her designer from where Caleb was from, Australia. Made With Love - Unique Bridal Collection is known for their romantic details and flowing fabrics that would fit perfectly with an outdoor tropical wedding.
Due to Hawaii's warm, humid weather, Caleb opted for a light tan linen suit that would compliment all the other blush & peach tones of the surroundings while still letting him stand out from all the green landscapes.
The bride was very hands-on with design and collaborated with Belle De Jour Floral Design to re-create the tones of a Hawaiian Sunset in the florals. She wanted a classic aesthetics to go with the lush surroundings of Dillingham Ranch. She opted for a more European floral choice to complement the tropical setting. Long white ranch tables from Aloha Artisans created the intimate setting for dinner. Adorned with blush fabrics, pink silk napkins and fresh citrus were paired with the floral centerpieces and a cozy plush couch for the couple's seating. Gold-rimmed china and silverware finished this stunning tablescape, each lovingly labeled with the guest's name on dried citrus.
The Japanese Akoya pearl necklace around Hannah's neck was her wedding gift from Caleb. He bought the pearls from their local Tasmanian jeweler, Jai Hay, who also hand-made their wedding bands. Caleb’s gift from Hannah was an engraved bronze Tag Heuer Autavia watch. The vintage style matched Caleb’s personality and perfectly matched his wedding suit. One of the sweetest details from the wedding day is the hand-written postcards to every one of their guests. They thought about how special it was to have their friends and family fly to Hawaii to celebrate them, so they wanted them to know how much they appreciated their presence.
