[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Corrine and Jonathan wanted to show off the true beauty of the low country with their whimsical yet elegant wedding at Hewitt Oaks. The couple fell in love with the majestic oaks on the property and found it to be the perfect setting to celebrate with their family and friends. The bride’s vision for the day was timeless low country elegance.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Jonathan and Corrine’s love story started in the summer of 2015 when Corrine and her family moved from Virginia to Kentucky. At the time Jonathan was working for the construction company owned by Corrine’s uncles and was assigned to help with the renovations of Corrine’s new family home. Corrine had only been in Kentucky for two days when she met Jonathan and the couple has been together ever since.
Jonathan finally popped the question on August 14th, 2022 in Marco Island, Florida on the beach, while on their seven year anniversary trip. Every year they go away for their anniversary to celebrate, so going on a trip wasn’t something new. Corrine knew they’d eventually get engaged but wasn’t expecting him to propose on this trip. Jonathan decorated the Beach with rose petals, had a vase of her favorite flowers (tulips) and a bottle of Moet champagne on ice. Corrine said it was like a scene from The Bachelor, it was so romantic. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The signature cocktails for the evening were named after the bride and groom’s favorite cocktails, the “Mrs. Paloma” and the “Mr. Old Fashioned”. They also included a signature drink in honor of their dog Archie, called “Archie’s Pup Crush”, and had a floral designed keg wall for the craft beer fans. Hewitt Oaks in-house culinary team, Southern Graces, provided the reception dinner of lemon roasted chicken with macaroni and cheese, grilled seasonal vegetables, and corn muffins. As a nod to the low country, classic lowcountry boil was also served. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Hewitt Oaks’ own floral and design team worked their magic to deliver an elegant design of white and greenery, including pops of blue for a whimsical touch. For the ceremony underneath the grand oak Promise Tree, they crafted lush white and blue floral aisle arrangements with clustered candles at the base of each row of chairs to create a gorgeous aisle for the bride to walk down. The bride and groom’s reception took place outdoors surrounded by Hewitt’s majestic live oaks. The design included varying reception tables toped with classic white and greenery centerpieces. Each place setting included gold dinnerware and chargers underneath white and blue floral dinner plates. At the center of the dance floor hung a beautiful floating floral chandelier amongst the tree’s twinkle lights. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Hewitt Oaks’ Southern Graces crafted the bride and groom’s classic three-tier wedding cake adorned with florals and a miniature replica of Archie (the couple’s pup).[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]The bride’s mother hand painted Veuve champagne bottles with details inspired by Hewitt Oaks and the colors and florals chosen for the day. One bottle even included a custom illustration of the couple’s pup. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]Sporting his own custom tuxedo, Corrine and Jonathan’s beloved dog Archie served as the ring bearer during their ceremony. They just couldn’t imagine saying their I do’s without including him in the nuptials. On his way down the isle he made sure to stop and greet the guests. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]To remember the occasion and to gift guests with a signature piece from the low country, the bride and groom turned oyster shells into keepsake ornaments. And for the guests with fur pets at home, they added squeaky balls for them to take home. [/field]
