Floral Palm Beach Wedding Filled With Fun

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

An intimate garden party with a mix of textures, patterns, and florals I was extremely inspired by Palm Beach and especially our venue, The Colony Palm Beach when planning our wedding. I wanted to mimic the lush greenery and florals of the island combined with the beautiful pastel colors!

Proposal Story
Garrett and I met in the summer of 2007. I had just finished my junior year of high school and was taking classes at Duke as part of the TIP program. Garrett was an incoming Duke freshman on the football team and was there that summer for practice. After we parted ways that summer, we didn’t reconnect until 5 years later when I was finishing my Masters at UVA and he was living in Baltimore. He found me on Scramble with Friends and we started messaging. After a few weeks of texting and calling, he invited me to go on a date in Baltimore and the rest is history!
The Fashion
Wedding Gown

I thought I had a good idea of what kind of dress I wanted until I actually started trying them on! As a pretty big “girly girl”, I thought every dress I tried on was beautiful but it wasn’t until I put on a Mira Zwillinger dress that I knew this was it. My sister cried when I put it on! I love how each flower is placed to create the most beautiful and flattering bodice. I also love that the tulle is incredibly soft and ever so slightly blush for a different bridal look. Chic Parisian made it extra special by customizing the removable straps to give me another look for the reception. My something old was a layered pearl bracelet from my late grandmother who had the best jewelry collection! I love that a piece of her was with me when we got married.

Bridesmaid Dresses
I asked all my bridesmaids to pick their own dresses because they’re all incredibly chic and have great taste! The only instruction I gave was for it to be a pastel color or have a floral pattern. They looked stunning!
