Heavenly Private Estate Wedding in White and Peach Hues
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
From the Bride:
Cam and I knew we wanted a day that balanced a personal touch with an elevated experience for our guests. That vision ultimately came to life through working with my incredibly talented stepmom Karen Tran and the team she recruited. While the day was hosted at our family home, Karen and our team were able to transform the space into the feel of a unique venue with expansive breathtaking views and personal touches sprinkled throughout. We also wanted our guests to never feel like there was a moment where they couldn’t be eating or drinking while they took in the landscape, and so as one moved about the property, there were multiple stations to grab refreshments and even an oversized, mesmerizing charcuterie board available to guests both before and after ceremony. The Mixology by Melissa team ensured the cocktails were personal to us and an experience all on their own. We chose an all-inclusive head table with our wedding party to allow us to take in the celebration feeling like we were amongst everyone we love. Finally, we envisioned a dance party under our family’s favorite large oak tree and once again, Karen and team transformed this space into a fairytale setting, fit with chandeliers, twinkle lights, and florals to die for that made for the most fun end to a perfect day.
From Michelle Garibay:
Karen Tran enlisted my help to oversee the execution of the day since she handled the design, vendor curation, and of course, florals. When I first started as a wedding planner 17 years ago, Karen's work was some of the first I was inspired by. Being asked to work with a talented industry icon like Karen on her stepdaughter's wedding was an incredible honor - when she could have chosen anyone in the world to assist. Getting to see her approach to floral design and watching her in action was such an experience!
The event design was a perfect combination of lush and elegant florals, grounded by rustic, down-to-earth elements that reflected Danielle and Cam's personalities. They wanted a beautiful event that honored their families and was fun, relaxed, and approachable. And the stunning, panoramic view from Karen's home was such a treat for the guests.
Proposal Story
From the Bride:
When your best friends are married, chances are good that you will find common ground. What we didn't expect to find was our person. Cam and I met nearly 10 years ago when our childhood best friends started their own love story. As life will have it sometimes, we were both on our own journeys back then, as I went to medical school to chase my lifelong dream of becoming a physician and Cam moved about California pursuing personal training and physical therapy. Fast forward to three years ago, we reconnected when those same friends of ours gathered those they love to announce their new baby boy. Cam asked me to dinner, and the rest is history. He proposed on the beach in San Diego near our home. The sand was sprinkled with plumerias, my late mom’s favorite flower, a personal touch that captured how in tune Cam always is with my heart

Special Detail #1
From the Bride:
The best weddings have those detailed moments that truly belong to the bride and groom. For us, our ceremony had to accomplish two things in this regard. First, we wanted to honor Cameron’s late grandfather and my late mother, two beautiful souls we lost recently and far too early. For this, we had two empty seats in our family sections with custom designed signage by the talented Something Lettered team that brought their spirits to the celebration. Next, we wanted to incorporate a unique tradition of ours…in our everyday life, Cam and I will toast our very favorite whiskey from our favorite place, and we do this only on life’s very best and very worst days. It’s our way of staying connected when it really matters. On the best day of our lives, we couldn’t let the moment pass without incorporating this special tradition, so we toasted to one another at the alter right after ‘I Do’. All of this was under our gorgeous alter, which was built by Cam and both of our dads with floral design by my stepmom and sister, an element that embodied our entire day, a family affair amidst absolute luxury.
