Timeless Southern Garden-Inspired Wedding In South Carolina

The inspiration was a timeless Southern garden.

The love story began in 2019 at a work conference in Orlando, FL. Bryan and Kelli just so happened to work for the same company at the time and were grouped together during a team workshop. Some flirtatious banter was exchanged back and forth over the next couple days of the meeting and continued into the following weeks, even though the pair lived almost 900 miles apart. The couple decided on a brief trip to test the waters after a couple of weeks of talking. They split a ticket for Kelli to fly down to Florida for a quick 48 hours. Bryan met her at the airport with a group of friends and took her out for a night of fun of Top Golf, Go-Karting, a 400 ft swing, and games. Before Kelli left that weekend she had already booked a ticket to come back only four days later and the rest is history! After 2 years of long-distance, Bryan popped the question while on vacation in Maui on 4.3.21 (read the numbers out loud- he is clever). Bryan “tricked” Kelli into taking some pictures with a photographer using the excuse of 1) the sold-out luau they were unable to get tickets to, and 2) the fact they had never had good pictures taken of the two of them. Kelli should have seen the writing on the wall, but she thought the excuses were valid and agreed. About halfway through the pictures Kelli turned around to Bryan kneeling. The next words out of Kelli’s mouth were “What are you doing? Are you serious?! Bryan, You’re lying!” We know how this story ends of course… with a “YES!” Since the couple wed Bryan accepted a new position with Stryker Neurosurgery that has moved them to Gainesville, FL. They recently purchased their first home together and are tirelessly working on renovations to make it their own! No children yet, but they are planning to welcome a new fur baby to the Smith Clan in the new year!

We had a Southern Nosh Station with indulgent crudité. This station will showcase the local artisan foods of South Carolina including assorted cheeses from award-winning farms, as well as international cheeses. Loaded with the season’s best fruits to include strawberries, cherries, cantaloupe, blackberries, grapes, and pineapple, it will be bountiful and boasting lots of color! Cheerwine BBQ Pulled Pork house-made Cheerwine BBQ slow roasted pork served atop a grit cake with smoked gouda Beef Wellington on a Silver Spoon puff pastry, mushroom duxelle, & tender roasted beef tenderloin Caprese Salad Wand Cherry tomato, fresh mozzarella, crispy fried basil, presented with a balsamic reduction flavor wand Southern Salad Bar: Three of our signature gourmet salads. Citrus Salad: Mixed greens, mandarin oranges, smoked gouda, dried cranberries, toasted pecans, orange marmalade vinaigrette Southern Caesar Salad: Romaine, parmesan, cornbread croutons, house-made Caesar with asiago crisps Club Med Salad: Chopped kale, sliced strawberries, toasted almonds, herbed goat cheese with sesame lime vinaigrette Sea Lowcountry Shrimp and Grits Smoked Gouda Grits, Guests will customized with the following toppings: Caramelized Onions, Sautéed Shrimp, Bleu Cheese, Smoked Gouda Cheese, Balsamic Toasted Pecans, Applewood Smoked Bacon, and Parmesan Cheese, topped with our Prosciutto Cream Sauce Land: Short Ribs Slow Roasted in our Merlot Demi Whipped Idaho Potatoes Sauteed Green Beans.

A romantically lush bouquet of gorgeous white blooms mixed with just a few natural green accents to include: White Hydrangeas, Peonies, Garden Roses, Ranunculus, Tea Roses, Stock, Astilbe, broad leaf Eucalyptus, & Italian Ruscus for a romantically Southern bouquet finished with a palest blue silk wrap designed by Hewitt Oaks Weddings & Events in house floral designer. The Ceremony: Family and friends will gather with joy in anticipation of the Bosland + Smith nuptials for a timelessly heartfelt ceremony under Angel Oak Canopy. Your guests will feel the exquisite Southern hospitality on arrival for this most meaningful service, entering the ceremony with a custom hand-lettered sign welcoming them to the Bosland + Smith Wedding. The altar will be stunning, featuring an asymetrical columns, dressed with stunning natural green & white floral bloom accents. As guests make their way down the natural faux-grass aisle, lined with silver lanterns accented with natural greens the anticipation will build as they wait to witness you exchanging vows with each other on this most sacred day. After saying your “I Dos”, guests will enjoy making their way to the cocktail hour in the courtyard to enjoy butler-passed hors d’oeuvres & festive cocktails for a celebration sure to create lasting memories! White chairs for ceremony. The Cocktail Hour: Celebrating in sophisticated style, the setting will feature cafe lights suspended across the Courtyard for a magically romantic vibe glowing with candlelight and lush floral framed lounges. The cocktail highboy tables will be dressed in white linens, tied and wrapped with a natural green & white bloom collar. The centerpieces will feature petite vases brimming with natural greens and a single white bloom accented with romantic candlelight. An exquisitely designed crisp white bar under the oaks will be accented with timelessly designed floral accents to frame the bar with white shelves as the backdrop for a stylish display of glassware. Your guests’ every whim will be served up with darling monogram drink tags around the decadent cocktails. Delightfully presented hors d’oeuvres will be exquisitely offered alongside an absolutely stunning nosh station filled with the season's freshest fruits. The Reception: As the cocktail hour comes to a close, guests will be invited to move into Gracie Ballroom as the music kicks off with the Bride and groom’s introduction & first dance. The gorgeously designed area will feature cafe lights over the dance floor. The ring chandeliers will be suspended overhead accented with Italian Ruscus. There will be a combination of rectangular wooden farm tables & round tables dressed in floor-length white shantung linens and styled with two varying centerpieces accented with varying heights of glass pillar candles, taper candles, & votives for a breathtaking atmosphere for you and your guests. The wedding cake will be featured on a white antique buffet hutch accented with florals and greenery for the perfect sweet ending. What a celebration it will be! Guest Tables Your guest tables will be stunningly designed featuring two styled tablescapes to showcase an artistically styled compote on the rounds paired with a living table runner atop the palest blue chiffon table runners down the full length of the table lined with taper candles, pillar candles, and votives for an elegantly timeless vibe to set the tone of this celebratory evening. Wooden Crossback chairs will line your tables with exquisite place settings to showcase the palest blue napkin tied, silver flatware, modern styled wine glasses, palest blue water glasses, frosted beaded charger, and white china will complete the table settings. The tables will feature a custom designed menu card so everyone can enjoy watching Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s first dance together as husband & wife. Event Lounge: An area for relaxing, lounges will showcase a seating vignette consisting of white French sofas, french and pale blue cocktail settees, coordinating rugs, small cocktail tables, and candles all glow. Accented with the palest blue & silver throw pillows. This look is classic glamour, lending itself to a cosmopolitan vibe for a Lowcountry Luxury kind of night! Sweetheart Table/ Mantle Install: A gorgeous setting for the newly married Mr. & Mrs. Smith, showcasing a stunning floral mantle installation featuring a billowing floral swoop showcased assymetrically on the mantle wall. The table for the couple will brim with gorgeous white blooms and the floor in front of the table will feature ground arrangments to complete the stunning look - accented with pillar candles and votives.

The bride and groom love to eat ice cream every night, so they wanted to share that love with their guest by having their own ice cream sandwich bar. Opened for their guests’ enjoyment as they dance the night away with our homemade ice cream sandwich flavors to include: Chocolate Chip Cookies and Vanilla Ice Cream, Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Ice Cream, Double Chocolate Cookie with Mint Chocolate Ice Cream, Browned Butter Cookies with Strawberry Ice Cream.
