Ashley and Scott’s destination wedding was a glamorous affair held at the historic The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Alexa Kay Events, a company that specializes in creating stylish and elevated events across the country, planned and designed the wedding. The overall look and feel of the wedding was inspired by the show Bridgerton, with a modern touch. The day featured gentle floral arrangements, muted pastel colors, a string quartet, and a strong emphasis on style. The result was a sophisticated and elegant atmosphere with a romantic ambiance that highlighted the venue’s most stunning features. Every detail was perfectly aligned to bring the bride’s dream of being the “season’s diamond” to life.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]On the final day of their first trip to Europe together, Scott, the groom-to-be, found the perfect spot to propose to Ashley. He picked a small and secluded bridge off San Marco Square in Venice, Italy, and made the romantic gesture of asking her to marry him. What’s even more heartwarming is that Scott had arranged for a photographer to capture the moment when Ashley said “YES!”

The bride and groom’s guests enjoyed an array of decadent culinary delights, including Parmesan, Herb and Garlic Colorado Chicken Breast, Red Wine Braised Beef Short Rib, Spinach and Four Cheese Ravioli, and more, all crafted in-house at The Broadmoor. And let’s not forget their much loved signature cocktail – Espresso Martinis – that kept the party jumping!

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]
CV Flowers transformed the bride’s luxurious Bridgerton-inspired vision into a reality by using a soft, classic, flower-focused design for the personal pieces and guest table decor – incorporating very minimal greenery and featuring, locally grown seasonal blooms in pastel shades including peonies, lilac, and ranunculus. Despite the rain, Ashley and Scott kept their ceremony outdoors on the terrace overlooking the lake. The aisle leading to the main focal point of the ceremony was lined with more than thirty feet of lush, pastel, meadow-inspired florals on either side. At the focal point of the ceremony, the florist designed a romantic gypsophila arch adorned with over 100 stems of large-bloom roses in muted lavender, pale yellow, and blush. The installation made a beautiful backdrop for the couple to exchange their vows with a view of the historic The Broadmoor in the background.

Diamond Empire Band provided the perfect musical accompaniment to the wedding ceremony and reception. They played a variety of music that fit with the overall theme of the event, including string instrumental covers of popular songs for the ceremony that were similar to those heard in the Bridgerton series. During the reception, they performed an array of dance-worthy tunes, including “It’s About Damn Time” by Lizzo, “Feel it Still” by Portugal. The Man, “Sir Duke” by Stevie Wonder, and “You Can Call Me Al” by Paul Simon. Their stellar performance added an extra dimension of joy and celebration to the occasion.
