The town of Taormina, nestled in the heart of Sicily, with its narrow winding streets, vibrant flowers cascading from balconies, and panoramic views that leave you breathless. Taormina is a place where time stands still and love takes center stage. In this picturesque town, Cynthia and Simon celebrated their special day in a truly romantic and timeless way. They chose the stunning Villa Mon Repos, a picturesque villa perched on a hillside overlooking the sparkling sea below. This venue was both their getting-ready location and their reception venue. This elegant villa perfectly captured the exclusive and sophisticated atmosphere they desired. An additional classic and timeless touch came from the ceremony. The religious ceremony took place in the quaint Church of St. Joseph, located in one of Taormina’s most characteristic squares, Piazza IX Aprile. This was followed by a couple’s photo session among the town’s beautiful narrow streets and vantage points. All this under a beautiful Sicilian spring sunset. However, as spring weather can be quite unpredictable, the wedding planner Luana Aloi had a backup plan in case rain decided to join the celebration. And indeed, strong winds swept through town just before dinner was about to begin. The indoor option was quickly put into action to ensure everyone stayed comfortable and dry. Film photography from Sergio Sorrentino, with its timeless quality and subtle hues, perfectly encapsulates the colors and mood of Sicily.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Bride’s Point of View:
My friend gave me the gift of organizing a girls’ weekend for my birthday. I thought it was very nice since she was already married and had a son. So I was excited to go to Venice together.
For the first night, my friend had booked a wonderful rooftop restaurant. We went up to the terrace to order food and drinks. Suddenly someone tapped me on the shoulder and I looked up to see my boyfriend. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Completely surprised, but overjoyed, I said yes. I learned that my boyfriend had arranged the whole weekend in consultation with our friends. While I went to Venice by train with my friend, my boyfriend and his friend went by car. All four of us had a wonderful weekend in Venice.[/field]
